New Year's Message for 2026
“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; which shall never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6-7)
1. The new year, which was next year and tomorrow, has become today again.
That's why poet Yun Dong-ju said, "There is no tomorrow, and that tomorrow is today."
The Lord says, "Do not worry about tomorrow and seek today his kingdom and his righteousness."
There is a local Jerusalem, present now, and an invisible, heavenly Jerusalem of the free (Galatians 4:25-26).
There is a local Jerusalem that exists now and an invisible Jerusalem of free people that belongs to heaven (Galatians 4:25-26).
If you don't know this, you only know the visible church and don't know the invisible, invisible church, the church of the Lord, the head, which is the body.
The Jewish people are the church of the law, the church of the twelve tribes, but in Christ, it is the church of the gospel, the church of the twelve disciples.
The church of the law foresaw the Lord's coming as Immanuel and warned against allowing the Lord to rest. But now, Christ, who came as Jesus, has carried the cross, died, and risen, and has sat on the throne of glory before the foundation of the world, sending the Spirit of truth in us to become our personal Savior.
We are saved by earnestly calling on the name of the Lord of this salvation.
2. Therefore, rather than believing in and calling upon the God in heaven and the Lord to come like Judaism, we must call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is within us as much as the God in heaven.
If you harbor a dream of the Second Coming and establishing the millennial kingdom centered in Jerusalem, it would be good for your health to wake up as quickly as possible.
As the heavenly Jerusalem possessing the gospel of truth, we are free.
By truth, we have been set free from sin and death, our old self has been crucified, and we are born again in Christ. We are one body and one spirit, seated at the right hand of God, and we eat one bread together.
Therefore, just as we believe that the God in heaven reigns without ceasing over all things, we must also believe that the Christ within us works without ceasing. We must ask, seek, and knock to receive his life and work.
We must understand why this is called the Golden Rule of Christianity (Matthew 7:12).
3. Even while Jesus was on this earth, He said, "My Father is working, and I am working" (John 5:17).
Our Lord Jesus Christ will surely reign until He destroys all authority and power and hands over the kingdom to the Father.
This Jesus Christ is present in us as the Spirit of truth.
The church of the Law was a testimony and a prophecy, but for us, it has already become a promise.
That is why it is a new covenant.
He puts a new spirit within us, gives us a new heart, removes the heart of stone from our flesh, and gives us a gentle heart.
He sends the Holy Spirit to teach us how to approach God according to his decrees, the truth (Ezekiel 36:26-27).
Therefore, our Lord, Jesus, came as the Son of Man and in his final sermon, the Testament, said, "When I go to the Father, I will send the Spirit of truth and give you a new covenant, a new commandment." He added, "On that day you will know that I am in you and you are in me" (John 14:20).
A will becomes effective only after the testator dies.
This commandment is not fulfilled within the context of the Law.
Therefore, the word of "walking with Jesus" is absurd.
4. In the new year, let's stop the babbling about this and that with a new resolution. Instead, let's keep this commandment, which Christ, the Word who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, dwells within us. We must keep his promise, "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13). We must pray without ceasing, hoping that God the Father's love will be revealed within us and that our Lord Jesus Christ will reveal himself within us (John 14:21; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Since the Lord has given us a mouth, if we believe the word and confess with our mouths, won't he save us?
We are no longer fleshly Israelites who yearn for the earthly Jerusalem.
Nor are we those who gaze upon the Lord's presence from afar and pray for his presence.
As those who have received the commandments of Jesus Christ within us and have learned the decree for keeping them through the Spirit of truth, we must call the Lord's name without ceasing, anytime, anywhere.
So, no matter what our circumstances, we must call upon the Lord's name without ceasing, today, not tomorrow. Hallelujah!
