God is the One who makes His children His witnesses. In today’s passage, women came to Jesus at dawn on the first day of the week with spices they had prepared; though they did not see Jesus and were distressed, two men in dazzling garments told them that Jesus had risen. Later, two disciples met Jesus on the road to Emmaus; initially unaware of His identity, they eventually recognized Him and shared the news with the other disciples. Jesus also appeared among them, opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and then departed to ascend into heaven. Praise be to the Lord.
