What does holiness means to God?
The holiness of God refers to the absolute moral purity of God and also the absolute moral distance between God and His human creatures. The prophet Isaiah declared, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty” (Isa 6:3).
“The holiness essential for seeing the Lord (Heb 12:14),” “is a state of rightness with God right now.” In other words, anyone who is saved and walking in the light is holy and ready to see the Lord.
Why is holiness important to God?
Holiness is the characteristic of God's nature that is at the very core of His being. Only as we encounter God in His holiness is it possible for us to see ourselves as we really are. The view of God presented in Isaiah 6:1–4 leaves an individual with a deep sense of awe at the greatness of His majesty.
