Column - Do you have the keys of the kingdom of heaven?
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. and whatsoever you shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:19, 24)
1. While many people have the hope of going to heaven, not many currently use the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
Churches that are united with the rock are rare, and churches that possess the keys of the kingdom of heaven are also rare.
If you don't use a key, it's just a lump of iron and a lock.
Those who say, "We believe in Jesus," "We walk with Jesus," "Let's become intimate with Jesus," etc., are not even the Church of the Rock, united with Christ.
Jesus says that they prophesied in his name, drove out demons, and performed many miracles in his name, but they were doing so illegally (Matthew 7:23).
God's gifts are given with the Son (Romans 8:32), but if they are not united with the Son, they are unlawful.
They are merely borrowing his name.
For example, even after decades of performing miracles and performing gifts, there is no salvation.
If a virgin approaches her father-in-law without being married, it is unlawful.
2. Peter accurately identified Jesus as Lord and Christ, the Son of God. However, he wanted Jesus to remain as he was.
He did not understand the mystery of the cross, in which Jesus died on the cross and rose again, becoming both Lord and Christ.
When the Lord told his disciples that he must suffer, die, and rise on the third day, Peter objected and Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me. You do not know the things of God, but only the things of men." (Matthew 16:23)
It seems likely that those who cling only to Jesus will receive the same rebuke.
On Pentecost, Peter finally proclaims that Jesus is both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36).
This is what is meant by objective knowledge becoming subjective experience.
3. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot believe that Jesus is Lord and Christ.
Without the Holy Spirit, he is only the King of kings, not a personal savior (1 Corinthians 12:3).
Although Peter recognized Jesus as Lord and Christ before the Holy Spirit came, Jesus did not become the Lord of salvation within him.
Naturally, he had not become one with Christ, the Rock, and the keys of the kingdom of heaven were not in use.
Only after the Holy Spirit came did they come to know the truth, becoming one bread with the Lord, one body and one spirit, and finally becoming the Key Church, which uses the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
This is evidenced in Acts 2, where David, moved by the Holy Spirit, kept the Lord always before him, fixed his gaze upon him, and called upon his name.
Furthermore, David explains that he had the mystery of always looking to the Lord, the high Priest after the order of Melchizedek, who sat at the right hand of the throne (Acts 2:25, 35).
4. Before the crucifixion of Christ, when Peter clung to Jesus, he was called Satan, he denied the Lord three times before the cross and left, and then was caught by the resurrected Lord and arrived at Pentecost. Finally, he came to know repentance, and he came to know baptism, which is the union with the death and resurrection of the Lord, and finally he came to know the routine of receiving forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).
Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot use the keys to the kingdom of heaven, denying ourselves, taking up our cross, following the Lord, approaching the throne of grace like David, and remaining before Him always.
Read the book of Romans.
Some boast that they were shocked by Lloyd-Jones's statement that sin is a disposition. Quickly master the book of Romans and see that sin, and righteousness also a disposition.
Next, Challenge the book of Hebrews.
This is because Hebrews is the reality of the tabernacle.
Establish your spiritual disposition in Christ through the law of the Spirit of life, and use the key to approach the throne of grace through truth in the Spirit.
The Christian environment is extremely poor.
It's pathetic.
Please quickly master Romans and become special forces soldiers who possess the mystery of a free spirit boldly advancing toward the heavenly sanctuary.
While Jesus is historically visible, we must never forget that Christ is not visible.
Therefore, spiritual freedom through the book of Romans must come first.
