Revelation 3:14~22 - To the Church in Laodicea - Lukewarm faith and naked church, Receiving Only Rebuke and discipline from Jesus

Revelation 3:18 – (2) I counsel you to buy from me salve to put on your eyes, so you can see

☞ Revelation 3:18 - I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. (NIV); I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (KJV)

○ Third, Jesus says, “I council you to buy from me salve to put on your eyes, so you can see”. As I mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_108>, which introduced ‘Seven Spirits’ of <Revelation> 1:4, and as I mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑦_194>, which introduced ‘I am he who searches hearts and minds’ of <Revelation> 2:23, eyes and ears of Jesus are said to be the  state-of-the-art monitoring and communication systems that can see and hear everything.

☞ In other words, it means that Jesus has the eye salve to see all the truth. As I mentioned in <Bible Matrix ⑤>, when Jesus came to this earth with these eye drops and regenerative medicine technology, Jesus healed the acquired and the congenital blind (Matthew 9:27~31, 20:29~34, Mark 8:22~26, John 9:1~41).

○ The Bible is always open, but the truth cannot be seen because they are blinded by riches. So, Jesus advise them to buy from Jesus eye drops to cure their blind so that they can see the truth. The eye is the lamp of the body. If the eye is good, the whole body is full of light, but if it is bad, the whole body is full of darkness (Matthew 5:15, 6:22~23, Luke 11:33~34), accordingly, the church must open its eyes and serve as a lampstand (or candlestick) that illuminates the light of Jesus.

○ Recall that Laodicea was famous for producing eye drops called Colonion or Phrygian powder. So, the Christians of Laodicea must have known better than anyone about blindness. That's why Christ advise them to buy eye drops to heal their blindness.
