The HTC ChaCha, which we recently unboxed, is one of the two "Facebook phones" the Taiwanese manufacturer launched with the occasion of this year's MWC. In this video we'll take a look at the HTC ChaCha's hardware, which is basically identical to the HTC Status coming to AT&T.

At a first glance it might resemble the HTC Snap from the old days because of its landscape screen layout and QWERTY keyboard but you might also compare it to the BlackBerry smartphones. It sports an 800MHz processor (HTC bumped the CPU specs from the announcement to the availability with 200MHz from the initial 600MHz in February) and a 2.6-inch HVGA screen with 480x320 resolution.

There are 512MB of RAM and ROM on board as well as a main camera which takes five-megapixel photos but only records 480 video. There's also a VGA front-facer, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio supporting 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, G-Sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. The battery has been also bumped a little bit from the announced 1,230mAh to 1,250mAh which definitely does a great job in keeping you connected.
