My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf

So it stood ninety years on the floor

It was taller by half than the old man himself

Though it weighed not a pennyweight more

It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born

And was always his treasure and pride

길고 커다란 마루 위 시계는 우리 할아버지 시계

90년 전에 할아버지 태어나던 날 아침에 받은 시계란다

언제나 정답게 흔들어주던 시계 할아버지의 옛날 시계

이젠 더 가질 않네 가지를 않네

90년 동안 쉬잖고 똑딱 똑딱 할아버지와 함께 똑딱 똑딱

할아버지의 커다란 시계는 무엇이든지 알고 있지

예쁜 새색시가 들어오던 그날도 정답게 울리던 그 시계

우리 할아버지 돌아가신 그날 밤 종소리 울리며 그쳤네
