GIS Head Student, RM15,000 for Turkiye earthquake victims

A powerful display of solidarity and generosity!

Our GIS Head Student, Bryan Lim presented a donation of RM15,000 to the Turkiye Ambassador, His Excellency Emir Salim Yüksel, at a ceremony witnessed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Hannah Yeoh yesterday.

As a student-led initiative, Bryan raised funds for Turkiye earthquake victims by selling 3D-printed key chains made at our GIS Design and Technology Faculty.

His Excellency Emir expressed Turkiye’s gratitude to the GIS community for our fundraising efforts, and YB Hannah praised Bryan's parents, his teachers and the school for providing an environment that instilled the right values in all the young learners here at GIS.

A massive thank you to everyone who contributed to our Turkiye earthquake relief efforts, be it monetary or in the form of food and winter necessities which was organised earlier by our generous PTF community!
