A frost hardy shrub that loves cooler weather and will thrive outdoors from zone 6 and above and will survive down to -10 º F. This unusual, deciduous shrub from China blooms yellow-green delicate flowers along a trailing stem of light green in late spring. Flowers are followed by long and very ornamental, fat blue, sausage shaped pods by autumn just in time to let your imagination run with some spooky Halloween creation! This tree makes a most interesting bonsai project and also grows well as a container plant for the home or greenhouse in addition to being a specimen plant. A true eye catching exotic looking must have shrub.

Sowing instructions:

·         Start indoors by soaking seeds for at least 24 hours. The seeds has a very hard coat and may need to be slightly nicked before soaking to effect moisture penetration, careful not to damage the inner embryo

·         Germination should result by 30+ days and maybe a little longer depending on the conditions you have provided

·         Sow seed lightly on top of good potting mix barely cover top

·          Keep warm and humid if in dry conditions by occasional misting

Plant Care:

Grow in a standard potting mix

Likes a deep, rich well fertilized soil

Let dry out between watering and feed once a month

Transplant when large enough to handle into pots
