Standing with those who are fighting to protect their sacred land and water.

I would also like to take this opportunity to raise something that has been bothering me for sometime.

Last New Year's Eve I was at a "Lone Ranger" themed party where some of us, myself included, wore the traditional dress of First Nations people.
I was stupidly unaware of the offence this may have caused and the sensitivity around this issue.

I sincerely and unreservedly apologise to all First Nations people for this thoughtless action.

I now appreciate that there is a great need for a deeper understanding of the complex and

extensive issues facing indigenous communities.
I hope that in highlighting my own ignorance I can help in some small way.

이번 기회를 삼아 가끔 저를 괴롭히는 어떤 문제에 대해 말하고 싶어요.

지난 새해 바로 전 날, '론 레인저'가 컨셉인 파티에서 저 포함

몇 사람들이 캐나다 원주민들의 전통 복장을 착용한 일이 있었어요.

저는 정말 어리석게도 이 문제가 만들어낼 불쾌함과 이 문제가 얼마나 민감한지에 대해 알지 못했어요

이런 생각없는 행동을 한 것에 대해 모든 캐나다 원주민분들께 정말 진심으로, 전적으로 사과드립니다.

이제는 토착민들이 직면한, 복잡한 문제에 대해 더 엄청난 깊이의 이해가 필요하다는 것을 깨달았어요

이번에 제 무지함을 알린것이 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 희망합니다.
