시침, 분침, 초침은 영어로 어떻게 표현하나요?

우선 시각을 가리키는 장치,

즉 시계는 영어로 ‘clock’이라고 하고,

손목시계는 ‘watch’라고 표현합니다.

그리고 문의하신 시계바늘은

영어로 ‘The hands of the clock’이라고 합니다.

* 시침 - the hour[short] hand

* 분침 - the minute[long] hand

* 초침 - the second hand (of a watch)

예1) The long hand on the clock is the minute hand.

         (시계의 긴 바늘은 분을 나타낸다.)

예2) The short hand is the hour hand.

       (짧은 바늘은 시간을 나타낸다.)

예문

She advanced the hour hand.

그녀는 시간을 앞당겼다

Every few years the minute hand is shifted.

몇년마다 1분의 1초가 바뀐다.|

Every few years the minute hand is shifted. 에서 몇년마다 1분의 1초가 바뀐다고 되었는데
'~분의 1초'가 빠진 것 아닌가요?
