착각과 현혹

오늘 아름다운 꽃도 내일 가면 시든다. 

오늘 아름다운 소녀도 세월이 가면

아름다움을 잃는다 

오늘 관능적인 여인도 얼마 안 가

착각이었음이 드러난다 

Today's pretty flower withers tomorrow.

Today's pretty girl loses her beauty

as time goes by.

Today's sensual woman soon

turns out an illusion.

세상에 헛되고 공허하지 않은 게 뭐가 있으랴? 

세상에는 진짜처럼 속이 꽉 찬 것처럼 보여도

속이 텅빈 것들이 많다.

겉만 보고 속아 넘어가 속이 텅 빈 걸 발견하고

절망에 빠질 때라야만 잘못을 깨닫는다

Anything on earth that's not vain and empty? 

Many things on earth are hollow and empty

but look real and full of subtance on the surface.​

Cheated by appearance, they realize their mistake

only when they find emptness inside. 

평범한 주식(主食)은 하루 세끼 매일 먹을 수 있지만

달콤한 과자는 그리 할 수 없듯

고혹적이고 화려한 것들은 일시적인 행복을 주지만

나중에 그 공허로움을 드러낸다

As you can not eat sweet candy three meals every day

while you can if it's simple staple food,

fancy alluring things on earth make you temporarily happy

but prove their emptiness later on.

화려하고 섹시한 여인은 순간일뿐

한번 현혹되면 그대 삶에 독이 돼

결국 그대를 파멸시켜도

함께 늙어가는 소박한 아내는

그대의 건강과 행복을 지켜준다.

그러므로 평범하고 소박한 것들을 사랑하라.

세상의 화려하고 고혹적인 모든 것들은

장미처럼 가시가 있고 독버섯처럼 독이 있으며

세월 가면 반드시 헛되고 공허함을 드러내나니
