The FortiGate 5001b chassis and 14 5140 blades have been thoroughly tested by a 3rd party testing system at their offices (BreakingPoint HQ, Austin Texas) and passed all 'real world' packet tests for firewall at over 550 Gbps !!    Test  Highlights The Fortinet 5000 series achieved processing of almost 560 Gbps of traffic through the firewall.  Specifically: UDP 1518B = 559 Gbps @ 45M Packets Per Second (PPS)  UDP 64B = 547 Gbps @ 813M PPS  UDP IMIX = 557 Gpbs @ 170M PPS  HTTP 64K = 542 Gpbs @ 977K CPS  HTTP 1B = 26 Gbps @ 2.6M CPS Application traffic = 122 Gbps @ 219K new CPS Using the same equipment, the IPS functionality test with real world web 2.0 traffic like Facebook, Pandora music, Outlook Web Access, AOL Instant Messenger, etc passed at over 122 Gbps and 219K new connections per second.
