많은 교회들이 지도자 승계 문제로 몸살을 앓고 있습니다. 사역을 후계자에게 넘길 때, 하나님을 신뢰하기보다 자기 생각을 고집하기 때문입니다. 억지 주장을 하고 무리한 시도를 하는 것은 -불안해서 그런 걸까? 이런 상황에서 엘리야와 엘리사의 지도력 승계는 어떤 교훈을 주는가? 과거에는 인물 별 설교를 참 많이 했는데 구속사 적인 강해 설교가 등장하면서 지금은 신대원에서도 잘 안하는 것으로 압니다.

Many churches are suffering from the problem of succession to leaders. This is because when handing over the ministry to the successor, they insist on their thoughts rather than trusting God. Is it because of anxiety to make forced claims and unreasonable attempts? What lessons does the succession of Elijah and Elisa's leadership teach in this situation? In the past, they preached many sermons for each person, but now I understand that the Shindaewon does not do it well as strong sermons that are arresting.

필자는 옛날 사람이라 요셉이야기, 모세의 출생, 그리고 엘리야이야기를 굉장히 흥미진진하게 듣고 배웠던 것 같습니다. 여름 수련회의 백미가 캠프파이어라면 그 것의 매인 이벤트가 악수례일 것입니다. 남양주 오남리 은 항아리에서 했던 한 여름 밤의 불꽃축제가 감격적으로 이미지모션 됩니다. 우리가 행했던 악수례는 오늘 본문(왕하2장)에 근거합니다. 여호와께서 엘리야를 회리바람으로 올리고자 하실 때, 엘리야를 길갈에서 벧엘로 보내십니다.

Elijah told her to stay in Gilgal, but she chased Elijah and went with her. When she came to Beth-el, the disciples of the prophet told Elisa that the Lord would take Elijah, and she knew about it. Elijah left her at Beth-el and went to Jericho, but she followed her until the end. The disciples of the prophet in Jericho also told Elisa that God would take Elijah.

엘리사가 스승 엘리야를 쫓아간다는 내용을 본문 저자가 무려 3번이나 언급합니다. 이윽고 엘리야가 겉옷으로 요단강을 가르고 건넜고, 선지자의 제자 50명은 그것을 보고 있었습니다. 엘리야는 엘리사에게 무엇을 원 하냐? 고 했고, 엘리사는 갑절의 역사를 구한다고 했습니다. 이에 엘리야가 어려운 일이기는 하나, 하나님이 나를 데려가는 것을 보면 이루어 지리라고 말합니다. 두 사람이 길을 갈 때, 불 수레와 불 말이 두 사람을 갈라 놓고, 엘리야를 회오리바람으로 데려갑니다

The author of the text mentions three times that Elijah is chasing his teacher, Elijah. Elijah cut across the Jordan River in his robe, and 50 of the prophet's disciples were watching it. Elijah asked Elisa what she wanted, and she said she was saving twice as much history. Elijah says it's difficult, but when you see God take me, it will come true. 엘리사는 자신의 옷은 둘로 찢고, 엘리야에게서 떨어진 겉옷을 가지고 요단을 치매 물이 갈라지고 엘리사가 다시 요단강을 건너갑니다. 말씀을 무시하고 죽은 신 바알을 숭배한 아하시아는 말씀대로 난간에서 떨어져 죽었지만, 사신 하나님의 말씀을 신뢰하며 산 엘리야는 죽음을 보지 않고 영원으로 들어갔습니다. 엘리야는 행선지를 정할 때마다 여호와께서 보내셨다고 고백합니다. 곧 승천하겠지만 마지막 까지 말씀대로만 걸은 사람, 그가 엘리야였습니다.

환대가 기다릴지 냉대가 기다릴지 계산하지 않고 가라 하면 갔고 가라 하신 곳으로 갔습니다. 날마다 말씀이 이끄는 대로 사는 것 그것이 가장 죽음을 잘 준비하는 일입니다. 고단한 현실 앞에서 참다운 주권자와 실재는 보이지 않는 하나님임을 고백하며 지금 영원을 사는 성도가 되고 싶습니다. 엘리야가 여기 머무르라고 세 차례나 요구했지만 엘리사는 끝까지 따르겠다고 다짐합니다. 다른 선지자의 호의 섞인 말에도 흔들리지 않고 단호히 침묵을 명령합니다.

I went where they told me to go without calculating whether to wait for hospitality or coldness. Living as the word leads every day is the best preparation for death. Confessing that true sovereign and reality are invisible God in the face of difficult reality, I want to become a saint who lives forever now. Elijah has asked me to stay here three times, but Elisa vows to follow through. I order silence without being shaken by the favorable words of other prophets.

스승이 가는 길이 하나님이 원하시는 길이고 하나님이 동행하시는 길임을 확신했기 때문입니다. 엘리야는 겉옷으로 요단강을 둘로 가르고 건너갑니다. 그 모습을 본 엘리사는 갑절의 영감, 즉 선지자직의 계승을 구합니다. 바알 숭배 시대에 엘리야가 마지막까지 보여주고 싶은 분은 출애굽의 하나님이요 그분의 살아있는 권능이었고, 재자가 본받고 싶은 분도 그 스승이 동행한 하나님이었습니다. 갑절의 영감요구는 지위가 아닌 사신 하나님에 대한 갈망이자 자신의 연약함에 대한 겸손한 인정이었습니다.

엘리야는 승천하고 엘리사만 남았습니다. 하지만 엘리사에게는 엘리야가 남기고간 겉옷이 있고, 그가 의지한 하나님이 계셨습니다. 그래서 엘리야와 건너간 강을 여호와와 동행하며 건너왔습니다. 죽은 바알 우상에 절은 땅, 반역의 땅을 향해 출애굽의 하나님과 함께 건너왔습니다. 아, 저도 이 음란한 우상의 땅에서 성령님의 역사를 의지하여 여호와와 동행하는 성도가 되고 싶습니다.

아름다운 사역의 마무리와 승계를 위해 필요한 자세는 무엇인가?

Elijah ascended to heaven, and only Elisa was left. But he had an outer garment left by Elijah, and a God he relied on. So he came with the Lord over the river that Elijah crossed. He came with the God of Exodus to the land of treason, the land of the dead Baal idol. 주님, 엘리야는 승천하고 엘리사만 남았나이다. 옛 시대가 가고 새 시대가 도래 한 것인데 우리들의 짠한 마음을 위로도 해주시고 어루만져 주옵소서. 악수례를 하면서 엘리야가 남기고 간 겉옷이 있고, 그가 의지한 우리들의 하나님이 계시니 다시 한 번 믿음의 주요 온전케 하시는 예수를 바라보게 하옵소서.

O LORD, Elijah is gone and only Elisa is left. The old times have passed and the new times have arrived, so please comfort and touch our hearts. Let us once again look at Jesus, who is the principal integrity of faith, because there is an outer garment left by Elijah while shaking hands, and because there is our God he relied on.
