3. 참된 결혼관 - 4

하나님으로부터 출발한 사랑의 길이 열매를 맺으려면 그 동참자의 사정을 알아야 되는 것입니다. 하나님과 부모와 자신이 공의의 자리에서 출발한 생명이니 결실을 보려면 그 공의를 터전으로 결실하지 않으면 본연의 자리에 돌아갈 길이 없다는 것입니다. 이것이 통일교회의 결혼관입니다. 203) 

결혼은 나를 위해서가 아니라 상대를 위해서 한다는 신조를 가져야 합니다. 결혼할 때 잘난 사람, 예쁜 사람 얻겠다고 하는 것이 잘못된 생각입니다. 인간은 남을 위해서 살아야 한다는 원칙을 알았다면, 결혼을 할 때에도 상대를 위해서 한다는 관념을 가져야 합니다. 아무리 못난 사람이라 할지라도 미인보다 더 사랑하겠다는 신념을 가지는 것이 원칙적인 결혼관입니다. 인간으로 태어나서 상대를 하나님같이 사랑하고, 인류같이 사랑하고, 이 세계 누구보다도 더 사랑할 수 있다는 관념이 서지 않고는 하늘나라에 복귀하지 못합니다. 한 남성으로서 한 여성을 사랑할 줄 모른다면 하나님과 인류를 사랑할 수 없습니다. 204) 

결혼은 누구 때문에 하느냐 하면 인류를 위한 것입니다. 인류의 공동이익을 위한 것입니다. 세계를 대표한 것입니다. 그 남자는 세계를 대표한 남자이고, 여자는 세계를 대표한 여자입니다. 그러면 어디서부터 출발해야 되느냐? 세계를 대표한 자리에서 출발해야 되는 것입니다. 결혼하는 뜻은 인류가 공적으로 바라는 뜻을 위한 것입니다. 205)

３、真の結婚観 - 4

神様から出発した愛の道が実を結ぼうとすれば、その同参者の事情を知らなければならないのです。神様と父母と自分は公義の場所から出発した生命ですから、結実を見ようとすれば、その公義を基盤として結実しなければ本然の場所へ帰っていく道がないというのです。これが統一教会の結婚観です。（203）

結婚は私のためではなく相対のためにするという信条をもたなければなりません。結婚するとき、立派な人、きれいな人を得ようとするのは間違った考えです。人間は人のために生きなければならないという原則が分かったなら、結婚をするときも相対のためにするという観念をもたなければなりません。いくら醜い人だといっても美人よりも愛そうという信念をもつことが原則的な結婚観です。人間として生まれて相対を神様のように愛し、人類のように愛し、この世の誰よりももっと愛することができるという観念が確立しなければ、天の国に復帰することはできません。一人の男性として一人の女性を愛することができないなら、神様と人類を愛することはできません。（204）

結婚は誰のためにするのかといえば、人類のためにするのです。人類の共同利益のためなのです。世界を代表したものです。その男性は世界を代表した男性であり、女性は世界を代表した女性です。それではどこから出発すべきでしょうか。世界を代表した場所から出発しなければなりません。結婚するのは人類が公的に願うみ旨のためなのです。（205）

3. The True Perspective Of Marriage - 4

In order for your journey on the road of love to bear fruit, you must understand the situation of the participants -- God, my parents and myself. We all are born with a public purpose; therefore, in order for us to bear fruit, we must base ourselves on a public purpose. There is no other way to be restored to our original birthplace. This is the Unification perspective of marriage. 203) 

You must believe that marriage is not for your sake, but for your partner. It is wrong to desire to marry a handsome or beautiful person. If you have understood the basic principle that people are to live for the sake of others, you should know that you will get married for the sake of your spouse. No matter how ugly a person is, you should be determined to try to love him or her more than you love a beautiful person. This is the basic perspective of marriage. If you do not have an established concept that you can love your spouse more than anyone else and think of him or her as God and all humankind, you cannot be restored to the heavenly nation. As a man, if you cannot even love one woman, you will not be able to love God or humankind. 204) 

For whom are we to get married? We are to get married for the mutual benefit of all humankind. The husband is a man representing the whole world, and the wife is a woman representing the whole world. Then where is this to begin? It is to start from a place representing the whole world. Marriage is for God's will and is what all humankind publicly hopes for. 205)
