4. Throne in Heaven at Scorpio(AD 8,580~)
4-2. The signs of the times is the Great Year (or Grand Circle) of Precession
○ As I already mentioned in Bible Matrix ⑦_117, Jesus says in Matthew 16:2~3, “When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’, and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.”(NIV).
☞ Jesus emphasizes the day and hour when Jesus will come are unpredictable, but the signs of the times should be discerned or predicted.
☞ As I already mentioned in Bible Matrix ⑦_97, the signs (or symbols) of the times is the precession or precessional motions of 12 constellations. Starting from Virgo (or the Maiden), it turns around 360 degrees, that is, 12 constellations, and it returns to Virgo, which astronomers call the 'Grand Circle' or the 'Great Year’, and it is also called 'Platonic Great Year' or 'Pythagorean Great Year’.
☞ Therefore, the signs of the times is the Great Year or the Grand Circle of Precession.
☞ It gets its name because the ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras (BC 582~BC 497) and Plato (BC 428~BC 348) were aware of this phenomenon. Therefore, this phenomenon is called the Cycle of Precessional Motions, and Milutin Milankovitch (1879 ~ 1958) viewed the Cycle to be about 22,000 years, and Joseph Adhemar (1797-1862) calculated the Cycle to be 26,000 years, and modern science calculates it to be exactly 25,920 years (12 constellations x 2,160 years).
☞ After all, Jesus was rebuking us for not being able to interpret the signs (or symbols) of the times of these 12 constellations.
☞ Matthew 16:2 - He replied, "When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,')(NIV)
16:3 - and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.)(NIV); And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?(KJV)
