The Oh (吳) surname in Korea originated in China, with the Haeju Oh clan forming the mainstream branch. Reflecting the spirit of *O-Wol-Dong-Ju* (rivals sharing the same boat in harmony), the Haeju Oh clan is a lineage dedicated to resolving past grievances and fostering peace.
The progenitor of the Oh clan was the third son of Duke Danfu (Gogong Danbo)—who was the grandfather of King Wen of Zhou. Thus, the lineage shares a kinship equivalent to that of a second cousin with King Wen. Notably, the Oh clan holds grand, international family reunions in China; it was heartening to see many Korean members of the Oh clan participating, demonstrating an exceptional spirit of kinship and unity.
In the future, humanity will form nations based on ethnic kinship. Through the realization of universal enlightenment—connecting heaven and earth—people will reclaim their lost identities. Naturally, they will gather at their ancestral homelands or in regions that have flourished to become "second hometowns," thereby forming new nations.
Transcending the limitations of time and space, and existing in a divine realm, everyone will live in a state of national prosperity and public peace. As the world becomes a global village, time and space have merged into one.
Gudojeon, Part 6, Chapter 67
4 "This *Gongsa* (divine work) is one that entrusts the role of Queen Consort to the *Subu* (the Female Principal)."
5 He wrote down and burned a paper listing generals, ministers, provincial governors, county magistrates, the common people, and the Queen Consort—all to be assessed and appointed.
6 The *Gongsa* wherein He commanded, "Uphold and revere this well," signifies the bestowing of noble ranks.
Petty people cannot comprehend this, and thus they suffer from an inner malaise. Homesickness was merely a childish mindset that existed among the immature, worldly people of the *Seoncheon* (Early Heaven) era. This embodies the principle of *Wonsi-banbon* (returning to the origin and the root).
This is because a land that was once an exception becomes a new capital site; thus, every corner of the global village transforms into a "New World" (*Sincheonji*)—a place worth living in—and becomes a land where the divine and the human act in unison (*Sin-in-hap-bal*) to create an ideal environment.
Of course, all is determined according to the law of cause and effect: "A family that accumulates goodness will surely have abundant blessings."
People are distinguished by their talents—superior, average, and inferior—creating a social hierarchy, and official ranks are determined with absolute fairness based on one's karmic retribution and accumulated merits.
Within a family lineage, too, the king and noble ranks are determined in the same manner, based on karmic retribution and merits. While a nation's king emerges from within that specific people, his title is determined impartially through the authority of the Government of Creation (Jo-hwa Jeong-bu) and transcends national boundaries.
From among the 12,000 enlightened sages (*Do-tong-gun-ja*) of our nation, individuals are appointed as the emperors of the Twelve Empires—each embodying the energy of the Twelve Stages of Life (*Sib-i-un-seong*). While feudal lords (*Je-hu*) rise from within their respective nations, the high ministers and generals (*Jang-sang*)—who wield the authority of creation—are appointed from the ranks of the 12,000 enlightened sages.
Administrative officials at the provincial, county, and district levels may also be drawn from the enlightened sages of each nation; there are approximately 30,000 such sages worldwide. The Emperor of the Suzerain State educates the talent destined to govern the various ethnic groups of the world and bestows upon them the attainment of the Way (*Do-tong*). It is said that even though official ranks may cross national borders, a king must be a native of the country he rules to ensure there are no grievances (*Ho-won*).
Jeungsan Sangje issued decrees through the Nine-Year Work of Reordering Heaven and Earth (*Cheon-ji-gong-sa*) and empowered the Master of Yeongsindang—the Parent of Heaven and Earth—to exercise authority through the union of the divine and the human (*Sin-in-hap-il*) with the Emperor. As this work proceeds unbeknownst to others...
Gudojeon, Part 4
Chapter 41: "When the affairs of the world are undertaken and the public becomes aware, there is no small amount of sabotage and obstruction; therefore, I devise and carry out my work from outside the established order."
2 "My work is accomplished through *muwi-ihwa* (transformation without deliberate action)."
3 "The Way of the Spirits (*Sindo*) is perfectly impartial and selfless."
"Governing all affairs and all things through the Way of the Spirits achieves miraculous results; this is precisely *muwi-ihwa*."
Despite this, Jeungsando attempted to carry out its activities through artificial human effort. Thus, it was bound to fail.
"Spirits reside within the mountain; when torrential rains fall and they fear a landslide, they lift the mountain and move it to a new location to settle—a sight resembling clouds drifting and walking along."
Regarding the work of Jiang Taigong, in Gudojeon Part 5:
"Climbing to the peak of Jebisan Mountain and facing toward Wonpyeong, [He asked,] 'By what principle do I ascend this mountain? I ascend in accordance with principle; do you understand the principles of Heaven and Earth?'"
"He climbed to the peak of Jebisan Mountain, faced toward Wonpyeong, and cast a fishing line; the disciples who accompanied Him were all puzzled. He then said, 'This is fishing for people. Though you may not realize it, I am in the process of catching and saving all the people of Heaven and Earth.'" It has been foretold that in the future, cows will be able to give birth without a mate, and humans will do the same; this signifies the era of *Jeong-do* (the Way of Stillness)—the true path of Yin—and a time of "movement within stillness" (*jeong-jung-dong*), for it is the era when Jiang Taigong saves all people through the principle of "transformation through non-action" (*muwi-ihwa*)—symbolized by his straight fishing hook.
Mentioning the surname "Oh" might initially invite misunderstanding, yet a proper explanation of the significance of "Oh" will dispel all such misconceptions.
You are urged to understand the spirit of Jeungsan Sangje—who entered Mt. Hoemun to carry out the great work of the world aligned with the Way of Yin—and to follow the Sage who has received the vital energy (*jeonggi*) of the Mui-gugok (Nine-Bend Valley) of Mt. Hoemun.
This fulfills the *Cheonji-gongsa* (Great Work of Heaven and Earth) prophecy that a Sage would emerge from a humble thatched hut, and it represents the destiny of Mui-gugok that ushers in the *Later Heaven* civilization of Taoist magic and spiritual arts (*dosul-munmyeong*).
