I grabbed a brand new copy at a local CD store today (along with a Norrington Beethoven Ninth). Wow!!!
I have owned the original EMI analogue recordings for many years, but
they have never sounded better. The glory of the Vienna Philharmonic is
brought out to the fullest, thanks to the meticulous, painstaking
remastering EMI has done and the DSD sound format. Need I mention these are classic recordings of Bruckner's monumental symphonies? BOTTOM LINE: Run, do not walk, to your nearest CD store and grab a copy before it's gone!
This must be one of EMI first venture into SACD format. If every other analogue-SACD they manufacture sounds this good, I will buy them all. It comes with a deluxe booklet illustrating the old EMI recording procedure and photos of the original recording sessions. What a bargain!

No, it's a hybrid SACD so it is playable on regular CD players. (But my portable CD player had some difficulty tracking the disc. I wonder why...)
