1. 4형식 문장의 수동태: 간접목적어와 지접목적어를 각각 수동태의 주어로 하여 두 가지 수동태가 가능하다.

    My girllfreind gave me a box of chocolates.

    →  I was given a box of chocolates by my girlfriend.

    →  A box of chocolates was given to em by my girlfriend.

    → 직접목적어를 주어로 할 경우 간접목적어 앞에는 전치사 to, for, of를 씀

    ※<동사+직접목적어+for+간접목적어> 형식으로 쓰는 동사들(make, buy, get 등)은 수동태를 만들 때 직접목적어를 주어로 하

       며, 간접목적어를 주어로 하면 어색한 문장이 된다.

       My father bought me a laptop computer

       → A laptop computer was bought for me by my father. (O)

       → I was bought a laptop computer by my father. (X)

2. 5형식 문장의 수통태: 주어(능동태의 목적어)+be+p.p+목적보어

    People comsidere Shakespeare one of the greatest writers in the world.

    → Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest writers in the world.

   Doing yoga will make you healthy.

   →You will  be made healthy by diong yoga.

   My teacher told me to be quiet in class.

   → I was told to be quiet in class by my teacher.

   ※지각동사나 사역동사의 목적보어가 원형부정사인 경우, 수동태에서는 to부정사로 바뀜

   They mande me follow their rules.

   → I was made to follow their rules by them.
