Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) is pleased to offer two $4,400 fellowships to 2nd year law students or equivalent, interested in working in a civil legal service program for the summer of 2004. The fellows will be assigned to either the Health & Disability Unit or the Housing and Homelessness Unit for 10 weeks during the summer months.
Successful candidates will be considered for future full-time employment with GBLS and may be sponsored by GBLS for fellowships such as Skadden or Equal Justice Works.
GBLS is the primary provider of free, non-criminal legal assistance in the Greater Boston area, assisting low-income individuals, families, and community-based organizations with a wide range of poverty law matters.
Interested students should indicate in their cover letter which unit they are interested in working.
Students who have already applied for a GBLS summer internship and/or have been offered a summer internship need not reapply. However, please inform Sonia Marquez, Personnel Director, of your interest.
