so[such] ∼ that의 이해

「so{such} … that ∼」은 ‘너무 …해서 (그 결과) ～하다’라는 결과를 이끄는 부사절을 만든다. 부정어가 있는 경우 보통 ‘～할 정도 …한 것은 아니다’로 해석한다.

eg. The tea is so hot that I can't drink it. 그 차는 너무 뜨거워서 마실 수가 없다.

It was such a expensive present that I couldn't receive it. 그건 너무 비싼 선물이라서 나는 그것을 받을 수 없었다.
