[BVC Log] 11/6 - 11/7 with Mars🌠

Hello fellow Moojukers! This is Mars.☺☺

This week was the first time to conduct the class with new method; an assistant will take charge of two days in a row and will read a whole story in CHY or longer part than former in case of a long story.

We expect to help students with the new manner for the following two reasons.
1. We can have much more time to review what we learned about pronunciations by reading the same part the next day.
2. For two days, we can truly familiar with reading the story. It means, this can improve literally an ability of ‘reading’, making an accurate sound.

First, we sang a song together, ‘Let it go’! I brought this song because of ‘H’ sound. Therefore, please don’t forget to make a big breath before you sang a word ‘heaven’.

Then, move on to the next step, reading the ‘CHY’! We read ‘The Hundred Patches Scholar’.

Before checking the pronunciations, read the whole part four times. (I would recommend that you check which sentence or word is your shortcoming in this time. Then you can fully utilize the time to make up some missing parts or faults when assistant let you know correct sound.)

And, I began to read sentence by sentence and then gathered the sentences into paragraphs. Found out difficulties of pronunciation and resolved them together.
My main point in class was making a clear sound of ‘H’ and ‘P’.
Sound ‘H’ -> make a big breath!
Sound ‘P’ -> an explosion of air with your mouth. Boom!

To learn these pronunciations well, I let you read the text by reading aloud only these words.

Thursday was for reading! Literally read the whole text again and again.

Watching two videos about ‘Special Care’, BVC’s new program, was really good start.

We reviewed the ‘H’ and ’P’ sound and hit the book!

Before assistant presentation time, Alvin and Jane Rosy performed their speech on the podium. I really appreciate. Thank you😊

During the second class, we practiced reading with ‘tongue twister’ for around 30 minutes. It was so hard, but I firmly believed that it is really worthy.

Thursday class was so tough, but you guys followed very well.
I am so happy because of students who take the BVC class. Thank you so much and I hope I can see you next time.
