피조물에 현시된 하나님의 선

하나님이 누구냐 하면 참사랑을 중심삼고 볼 때 뿌리라는 것입니다. 뿌리는 줄기를 통해서 순과 통하는 것입니다. 그렇게 되어서 가지는 동서남북으로 뻗는 겁니다. 동서남북으로 뻗으면 뻗을수록 순도 자라고 줄기도 자라고 뿌리도 자라는 것입니다. 그래서 하나님은 우리 인간세계에 참사랑을 중심삼은 종적인 아버지라는 것을 발견할 수 있습니다. 종적인 참사랑을 중심삼은 아버지가 창조주이신 것이다.

모든 존재는 작은 것은 큰 것을 위하고, 큰 것은 더 큰 것을 위하게 되어 있는 것입니다. 이렇게 볼 때 약육강식이란 말은 찰스 다윈이 [종의 기원]에서 말한 그런 이야기가 아닙니다. 본래부터 그렇게 되어 있는 것입니다. 우주를 만든 주인이 사람을 위해서 만들었기 때문에 사람은 무엇을 먹더라도 죄가 아니라는 것입니다.

하나님은 지혜의 왕이시며 모든 것을 알고 계시는 전지전능한 분이기 때문에 인류 세계의 참된 사랑과 참된 행복과 참된 평화와 참된 이상을 주체와 상대 관계 가운데 주체를 중심한 방향에 그 기원을 결정하든가, 그렇지 않으면 객체를 중심한 입장에 결정하든가, 그렇지 않으면 객체를 중심한 입장에 그 기원을 정하든가 해야 합니다. 하나님이 그 영원한 이상세계를 바라보면서 그것을 결정하지 않으면 안 된다는 것입니다.
 
만일 하나님을 중심하고 주체만을 위하는 것이 된다면, 또 그와 같은 전통적인 기준을 인간이 만들어 냈다고 한다면, 그리고 모든 것이 자기를 중심하고 봉사해야만 된다고 한다면, 거기서는 큰일이 나게 됩니다. 그러한 자리에서는 하나라든가 통일이라는 문제, 혹은 융합이라든가 발전이라는 원칙을 충족시킬 수가 없습니다.
 
그래서 주체를 중심삼고 객체가 모시는 것이 아니라, 하나님 자신에 있어서 객체를 중심하고 하나님 자체가 존재한다고 하는 입장을 취하지 않을 수 없다는 사실을 우리는 알게 됩니다. 그렇게 되면 모든 것이 하나가 됩니다. 모든 것이 발전의 원칙을 따르게 되니까 전지전능하신 하나님은 이 평화와 행복, 이상과 사랑의 본원(本源)의 기준을 ‘위하여 존재하는 것’이라고 정할 수밖에 없었다는 것입니다.

神様が誰かといえば、真の愛を中心として根だというのです。根は、トランク(注：幹)を通して芽と通じるのです。そして、枝は東西南北に伸びます。東西南北に伸びれば伸びるほど、芽も育ち、幹も育ち、根も育つのです。それで、神様は、私達人間世界に、真の愛を中心とした縦的なお父様だということを発見できます。縦的な真の愛を中心とした父が創造主であられるのです。

すべての存在は、小さなものは大きなもののために、大きなものはもっと大きなもののために生きるようになっています。このように見るとき、弱肉強食という言葉は、チャールズ・ダーウィンが、「種の起源」で語ったそのような話ではありません。本来、そのようになっているのです。宇宙を造った主人が人のために造ったので、人は何を食べても罪ではないのです。

神様は、知恵の王であられ、全能のお方なので、人類世界の真の愛と真の幸福と真の平和と真の理想を、主体と対象関係の中で、主体を中心とした方向にその起源を決定するか、そうでなければ客体を中心とした立場にその起源を定めるか、どちらかにしなければなりません。

神様が、その永遠の理想世界を望まれながら、それを決定しなければならないというのです。もし神様を中心として主体だけのために生きるものになれば、また、そのような伝統的な基準を人間がつくりあげたとしても、そして、すべてのものが自分を中心として奉仕しなければならないとすれば、そこでは大変なことになるのです。

そのような所では、一つであるとか、統一という問題、あるいは融合や発展という原則を充足させられません。ですから、主体を中心に客体が侍るのではなく、神様御自身において、客体を中心にして神様自体が存在するという立場をとらざるを得ないという事実を、私達は理解するようになるのです。

そのようになれば、すべてのものが一つになります。すべてのものが発展の原則に従うようになるので、全知全能であられる神様は、この平和と幸福、理想と愛の本源の基準を、「ために存在する」というところに定めざるを得なかったというのです。

God’s Goodness Manifest in the Creation

When looking at reality from the perspective of love, God is the root. The root communicates through the stem to the sprouting leaves, which spread out in all directions: east, west, south and north. As the plant spreads out, its leaves sprout more abundantly, the stem grows stronger and the root grows larger. Live like this, and you will discover that God is the loving vertical Father of our human world. God is our Creator and Father who bestows true love in abundance.

Everything exists for the sake of something greater than itself, and the greater thing for something still greater. It is wrong to think that life is simply about the strong eating the weak, as Charles Darwin taught. That perspective on life is dead wrong. The Lord of the universe—the Creator of the universe—created all things for the sake of human beings. All creatures were created with that specific purpose in mind. (217:204, June 1, 1991)
 
God is the omnipotent and omniscient King of wisdom. In creating the universe of subject-object relationships, He had to decide whether the origin of true love, true happiness, true peace and the true ideal of the human world should be in the subject partner or in the object partner. God had to decide on this matter with the eternal ideal world in mind.
 
If God had set things up in such a way that all object beings must serve Him, then human beings would establish that same tradition: “Everyone must serve me.” This would have created serious problems. There would be no way to achieve unity, harmony or development.
 
Thus we understand: rather than demanding that object partners attend the subject partner, God invariably takes the position that He exists for the sake of His object partners. This way, everything becomes one; there is progress and development. Hence, the almighty God decided to set up the standard of peace, happiness, love and the ideal as “living for the sake of others.”
