Norena’s South Florida home was severely damaged during Hurricane Andrew in 1992.

She received an insurance settlement, and the repair work began.

But the contractors left when the money ran out,

leaving an unfinished home with no electricity.

For 15 years, Norena got by with a tiny refrigerator

and a few lamps connected to extension cords.

Surprisingly, her neighbors didn’t seem to notice her dilemma.

Then, acting on a tip, the mayor got involved and contacted an electrical contractor

who restored power to her house within a few hours.

플로리다주 남쪽에 있는 노레나의 집은 1992년 태풍 앤드류 때문에 엄청난 피해를 입었습니다.

그녀가 보험금을 받은 후 보수공사가 시작되었습니다.

하지만 돈이 바닥나자 공사계약업자는 공사를 끝내지도 않은 채

전기도 들어오지 않는 집을 그대로 놔두고 떠나버렸습니다.

그래서 노레나는 15년 동안을 외부 연결 코드를 사용하여

소형 냉장고와 전등 몇 개만 켜고 근근이 살아왔습니다.

놀랍게도 이웃에서는 그녀가 빠진 곤경을 알아채지 못했습니다.

그 때 이 소식을 접한 시장이 전기 시공업체에 연락해 불과 몇 시간 만에 전기가 다시 들어오게 해주었습니다.

When Jesus encountered the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4),

He got involved in her life and talked to her about her need for spiritual power.

He established common ground with her (water, v.7)

and piqued her spiritual interest and curiosity (vv.9-14).

He was gracious and sensitive as He confronted her sin (vv.16-19)

and kept the conversation centered on the main issue (vv.21-24).

Then He confronted her directly with who He was as Messiah (v.26).

As a result, she and many other Samaritans believed in Him (vv.39-42).

예수님이 우물가에서 사마리아 여인과 대면하셨을 때(요 4장),

주님은 그녀의 삶에 개입하셨고 영적인 능력의 필요에 대해 그녀에게 말씀하셨습니다.

주님은 그녀와 공감대를 형성하셨고(생수, 7절) 그녀의 영적인 관심과 호기심을 자극하셨습니다(9-14절).

주님은 자비롭고 세심하게 그녀가 지은 죄를 직시하시고(16-19절)

그 주요 문제에 집중하며 대화를 이어가셨습니다(21-24절).

그리고는 주님은 그녀가 메시아이신 주님을 직접 대면하게 하셨습니다(26절).

그 결과 그녀와 많은 다른 사마리아인들이 주님을 믿게 되었습니다(39-42절).

Let’s get involved in the lives of others and tell them about Jesus.

He is the only source of spiritual power and satisfies our deepest longings.

우리 모두 다른 사람들의 삶에 개입하여 그들에게 예수님에 대해이야기해 줍시다.

주님만이 영적권능의 유일한 근원이며 우리의 가장 깊고 간절한 소망을 이루게 해주십니다

John 4:7-26  

[요] 4:7	When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?"
[요] 4:8	(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
[요] 4:9	The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
[요] 4:10	Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."
[요] 4:11	"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?
[요] 4:12	Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"
[요] 4:13	Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,
[요] 4:14	but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
[요] 4:15	The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."
[요] 4:16	He told her, "Go, call your husband and come back."
[요] 4:17	"I have no husband," she replied. Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband.
[요] 4:18	The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true."
[요] 4:19	"Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet.
[요] 4:20	Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem."
[요] 4:21	Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
[요] 4:22	You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
[요] 4:23	Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
[요] 4:24	God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
[요] 4:25	The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."
[요] 4:26	Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."

[요] 4:7	사마리아 여자 한 사람이 물을 길으러 왔으매 예수께서 물을 좀 달라 하시니
[요] 4:8	이는 제자들이 먹을 것을 사러 그 동네에 들어갔음이러라
[요] 4:9	사마리아 여자가 이르되 당신은 유대인으로서 어찌하여 사마리아 여자인 나에게 물을 달라 하나이까 하니 이는 유대인이 사마리아인과 상종하지 아니함이러라
[요] 4:10	예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 네가 만일 하나님의 선물과 또 네게 물 좀 달라 하는 이가 누구인 줄 알았더라면 네가 그에게 구하였을 것이요 그가 생수를 네게 주었으리라
[요] 4:11	여자가 이르되 주여 물 길을 그릇도 없고 이 우물은 깊은데 어디서 당신이 그 생수를 얻겠사옵나이까
[요] 4:12	우리 조상 야곱이 이 우물을 우리에게 주셨고 또 여기서 자기와 자기 아들들과 짐승이 다 마셨는데 당신이 야곱보다 더 크니이까
[요] 4:13	예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 이 물을 마시는 자마다 다시 목마르려니와
[요] 4:14	내가 주는 물을 마시는 자는 영원히 목마르지 아니하리니 내가 주는 물은 그 속에서 영생하도록 솟아나는 샘물이 되리라
[요] 4:15	여자가 이르되 주여 그런 물을 내게 주사 목마르지도 않고 또 여기 물 길으러 오지도 않게 하옵소서
[요] 4:16	이르시되 가서 네 남편을 불러 오라
[요] 4:17	여자가 대답하여 이르되 나는 남편이 없나이다 예수께서 이르시되 네가 남편이 없다 하는 말이 옳도다
[요] 4:18	너에게 남편 다섯이 있었고 지금 있는 자도 네 남편이 아니니 네 말이 참되도다
[요] 4:19	여자가 이르되 주여 내가 보니 선지자로소이다
[요] 4:20	우리 조상들은 이 산에서 예배하였는데 당신들의 말은 예배할 곳이 예루살렘에 있다 하더이다
[요] 4:21	예수께서 이르시되 여자여 내 말을 믿으라 이 산에서도 말고 예루살렘에서도 말고 너희가 아버지께 예배할 때가 이르리라
[요] 4:22	너희는 알지 못하는 것을 예배하고 우리는 아는 것을 예배하노니 이는 구원이 유대인에게서 남이라
[요] 4:23	아버지께 참되게 예배하는 자들은 영과 진리로 예배할 때가 오나니 곧 이 때라 아버지께서는 자기에게 이렇게 예배하는 자들을 찾으시느니라
[요] 4:24	하나님은 영이시니 예배하는 자가 영과 진리로 예배할지니라
[요] 4:25	여자가 이르되 메시야 곧 그리스도라 하는 이가 오실 줄을 내가 아노니 그가 오시면 모든 것을 우리에게 알려 주시리이다
[요] 4:26	예수께서 이르시되 네게 말하는 내가 그라 하시니라

Help me to see the tragic plight Of souls far off in sin; Help me to love, to pray, and go To bring the wandering in. A faith worth having is a faith worth sharing.

죄로 인해 멀리 떨어진 영혼들의 비참한 처지를 내가 볼 수 있게 도와주소서 내가 사랑하고 기도하며 가서 저 방황하는 자들을 불러오도록 도와주소서 소유할 가치가 있는 믿음은 나눌 가치가 있는 믿음이다.
