Exposition of 1 John 2:18-26 (6)
Verse 24: "Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain i you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father."
“Let that therefore abide in you.” We must allow the word we have heard from the beginning to dwell within us.
We must agree that through the Word we have heard from the beginning, the Son dwells within us, and through the Word we have heard from the beginning, the Father dwells within us.
We must allow the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.
It is through the Holy Spirit that we are discovered within the Triune God.
What we must understand is that although the Holy Spirit desires to dwell within us, if we do not allow it, He does not work within us.
There are many people who argue over this issue.
He desires to be present within us.
However, people are rejecting this.
Perhaps they feel fear at the thought of giving up the flesh that has been so enjoyable until now.
In the past, there were many people who would slowly avoid me whenever they saw me.
When they hear the Word, they desire to become disciples of Christ, but when they actually try to do it, they seem to find it very hard to let go of what they have grown attached to.
Therefore, they cannot serve the Holy Spirit as their Lord, and the Holy Spirit does not vouch for that person.
The life of Christ given by the Holy Spirit is our active power.
This life moves our thoughts.
This life brings about creative work within us.
It destroys the house of Hades and the house of demons within us.
However, people despise this life.
They think of it merely as something to hold onto until they go to heaven.
They do not know that this life is the vitality of life, nor do they know that it is the courage to live.
Living inflexibly amidst anxiety and nervousness, people do not realize how precious the life of Christ is.
This life makes us pure and bold.
Without life, chaos cannot be stopped.
Emptiness and confusion remain unblocked.
Without this life force, the turmoil arising within me continues.
It cannot be dealt with.
Because smoke rises from the abyss, we cannot correct our dark, negative, and critical speech.
Without the life of Christ, nothing works.
Christians have embraced the life.
Nevertheless, people treat this life very lightly.
To take life lightly means to take the Holy Spirit lightly.
It means to take the Lord Jesus Christ lightly.
Therefore, there is no health of the mind.
Consequently, physical health is also poor.
When forming relationships in that state, problems arise in daily life.
We must invite the Holy Spirit so that the power of life may fill us.
People often do not realize that this is precisely the problem with everyone.
Once, one person appeared fine on the outside, but the problem was their relationship with themselves and their relationship with others.
People do not realize that they have a relationship with all creation.
People think that knowledge and skills alone are enough.
However, Christians must possess tireless vitality.
A person can also succeed through the sincerity of diligently cultivating and decorating.
Furthermore, one must earn man in order to earn money.
How can I earn money if I cannot earn people?
Only this power of life allows one to endure when others are lacking.
Only power of life enables one to say, "Go ahead, take it," even when seeing someone take a handful.
This power of life determines one's own life.
When this power of life works within me, it radiates something to others.
Look closely at the other believers.
You will see a difference between those who have experienced the Holy Spirit and those who have not.
What comes out of the face and what goes in is different.
Even though people may look identical with their eyes, nose, and mouth, they differ according to their vitality.
That is human relationships.
It is the secret to earning people.
Next, you earn material possessions as well.It is a blessing for those who have life.
Verses 25-26: “This is the promise that he promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written to you concerning them that seduce you.”
God’s promise is eternal life.
It is always present.
Therefore, the wages of sin is death, and the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23).
In the past in the United States, when I asked Dr. Kennedy about the status of this gift of God, eternal life, within the American church, he could not give me an answer.
They take good care of the gifts for ministry, but they do not realize that the eternal life given to one’s very existence is a gift.
“This is the promise that he promised us, even eternal life.
The promised promise is not to make us rich, but to give us eternal life.
He blesses us through this eternal life.
With this one thing, he brings revival to us.
With this one thing, he makes David truly David.
The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).
With this one thing, God reveals his glory through his people.
Everything is contained within eternal life.
When this eternal life works within me, there is love, joy, peace, and happiness.
Here is mercy. Here is tolerance. Here is patience.
When this eternal life works, there is wisdom.
Furthermore, our identity and self-image change.
Please do not forget that this eternal life is God's promise.
Many people end up ignoring it. That is why things become strange.
Please, I hope you receive biblical salvation.
There is no royal road to salvation.
You must walk step by step.
What does it mean when we say that blessings have come upon us?
It means that eternal life has come into us.
That eternal life has come means that peace has come into us.
Through the coming of eternal life, the forgiveness of sins is accomplished, and because we become one with God, it is peace (Eirene join).
When does the forgiveness of sins come?
The words that we are passed from death to life is confirmed through the entry of eternal life.
Everything starts from there.
That eternal life is what makes us people of the highest value.
What makes life painful?
It is because we cannot be honest with ourselves.
We can make excuses to others as much as we want, but we cannot do so to ourselves.
Why do you always get caught by yourself?
It is because eternal life is not within you.
Since eternal life is not working within me, a glorious self-portrait does not appear.
Death, Hades, and rubbish are within me; because this junk fills me, no matter how much I shake my head to deny myself, I cannot do anything about it.
However, everything is resolved within Christ, who is eternal life.
You must not be deceived.
Nothing else is a blessing.
"Let the Son dwell in you." Through the Son who dwells within us, God also dwells with us.
From that time on, He always gives us eternal life (John 10:28). This life makes us worthy of a man.
This life enables us to have compassion for others and to create great dreams.
Because of this life... that is why Paul praises God, saying, "I give thanks to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57).
The power of this life becomes the authority of an iron rod that persuades people.
If you possess this power of life, you can persuade people quickly.
Even if people are talking nonsense, if I speak bright words with a bright heart through the power of the Holy Spirit, they are immediately persuaded and follow.
This is true leadership.
It is precisely the power of God's life found in Jesus Christ.
Therefore, you must always pray, "Lord, may the Holy Spirit rule my heart. Fill me with your life."
