Seven hundred and thirty days. That's how long a girl has to wait for her beloved to complete his military service every able-bodied Korean man's duty. The first movie on our list describes how four couples between the ages of 18 and 29 survive such long-distance relationships. Korean men now look at military service as a continuation of everyday life in a different environment rather than the rite of passage men of previous generations boasted about. The story depicts how this perception of military service has changed even as it shows how efforts to save love have not.
Next up is "PS I Love You" from Hollywood. Two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank plays Holly who loses her Irish husband named Gerry. When her life seems to take a tumble after Gerry's death his letters guide her through the difficult journey of grieving and starting a new life. Each letter from her deceased husband is signed off with "P.S. I Love You." While the story itself is quite touching Hilary Swank as a romantic lead Last but not least is "Bee Movie." It's Jerry Seinfield's first big project since his TV series ended 10 years ago. He stars as the voice of a young bee exploring New York City. In the course of befriending a florist played by Renee Zellweger he becomes outraged to find out that humans sell honey for money. In addition to celebrity casting A-list directors Steve Hickner and Simon Smith come together for this computer graphic animated movie. Lee Jeewon, Arirang News.
