노르웨이의 작곡가, 피아니스트, 음악 프로듀서. 뉴에이지, 클래식 크로스오버, 팝이 그의 쟝르이다.

바이올리니스트 Fionnuala Sherry와 함께 결성. 1995년 데뷔 앨범 "Songs from a Secret Garden" 이 큰 히트를 쳤다.

유로비전 송 콘테스트 우승: 1985년 Bobbysocks의 "La det swinge"와 1995년 시크릿 가든의 "Nocturne"으로 두 번 우승했다.

감성적이고 멜로딕한 작곡으로 유명, 클래식과 켈틱 요소를 결합한 독특한 음악 스타일이며 뉴에이지 음악 장르에서 큰 영향력 있는 작곡가로 다수의 국제적인 음악상 수상했다.
