What dose God require of you?

People always pray & ask God to give something. We’ve to remember that God also require something

from us. Today, I want to let you know what God require of us. Listen and think deeply.

Micah 6 : 8 ~ He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?

1. God require love and loyalty.

it’s human nature that we give priority to our circumstances than God. We focus our spouses, our children, our parents, our relatives and our ourselves than God. But, we’ve to remember always that Creator is greater than creation. We’re the creation & Creator should be first in all circumstances.

Numbers 20 : 3 ~~~ You shall have no other gods before Me.

One day expert of the law came to Jesus and ask a question. Which is greatest the commandment?

Mathew 22 : 37 ~ 38

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your

soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.

Whatever circumstances. We’ve to give priority to God. Than others things. God 1st. You then later I.

Because this is the first & the greatest commandment than any other command. Amen

2. God require Offerings happily.

Brothers & sisters, majority of pastors & preachers hesitate to talk about to give offerings & Tithes.

Micah 6 : 6 ~ 7

With what shall I come before the Lord & bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Brothers & sisters, offering what I give to God. I’ve to give happily not forcibly. God knows our hearts. Once Jesus was sitting in temple & watching the people, when they were giving offering & Tithes.

Mark 12 : 43 ~ 44

Calling His disciples to Him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her

poverty, put in everything all she had to live on.”

Luke 6 : 38

Give, & it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over,

will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.

3. God require Harmony among us.

Third thing what God require from His people is Harmony or Unification among His people. Brothers & sisters let’s throw away all grudges & hate. Friends, forgive others & start to love & respect others.

Matthew 5 : 23 ~ 24

Therefore, if u are offering your gift at the altar & there remember that your brother or sister has something against u, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go & be reconciled to them; then come & offer your gift.

2nd. Corinthians 5 : 18

All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ & gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Psalms 133 : 1 ~~~ How and pleasant when brothers live together in Harmony.

God want a Harmony and love among His children. Just imagine, our children always fight each-other. Hate each-other and make problems for each other. We parents will happy. No certainly not. We are the children of God. How can our Father be happy, If we don’t make harmony. God want Harmony.

4. God require that we must have Discerning heart.

4th. thing what God require from us is that His children must have discerning heart. Discerning heart mean a heart that can differentiate between Good & Bad. There are many who can’t understand, what is good & what’s bad? Devil make us confuse. Ask God to have discerning heart as king Solomon ask.

1st. kings 3 : 9 ~ 10

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people & to distinguish between right & wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.

We’ve to ask God with faith. Surely God will give us wisdom to live successfully on this earth.

James 1 : 5 ~ 7

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

5. God require thanks not complain.

Always remember God require only thanks from His people. If we’ll complain, wrath of God will come.

Numbers 11 : 1

Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, & when He heard them His anger was aroused. Then fire from the Lord burned among them & consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.

God blessed Israelites but Israelites start to complain instead of Thanks. Israelite’s complain

brought wrath of God upon them. The fire came from heaven & burned camps & people.

1st. Thessalonians 5 : 16 ~ 18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

6. God require humbleness.

Final thing what prophet Micah teach us today is that we’ve to love & walk in God’s presence humbly.

Micah 6 : 8

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?

To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

We’ve to learn humbleness from Moses. Israelites want to kill him, stone him but he wrestled with God for them.

Numbers 12 : 3

Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.

Conclusion :-

Micah 6 : 8 ~ He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?

Today, prophet Micah told us that God require something from us. Are we ready to give what He want?

ⓐ Are we ready to give priority to God in all circumstances. ⓑ Do we give offering & Tithe happily or?

ⓒ Are we ready to make Harmony with all. ⓓ Do we ask for discerning heat? ⓔ Do we give thanks or do we complain? ⓕ Are we humble with others or harsh? Let’s question ourselves & answer to ourselves.

Numbers 6 : 24 ~ 26

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and

be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.

Matthew 21 : 22 ~~~ If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

하나님께서 요구하시는 것이 무엇일까요?

사람들은 항상 하나님께 기도하며 무엇을 달라고 구합니다. 하나님도 역시 우리에게 무언가를 요구하신다는 것을 기억해야 합니다. 오늘 저는 하나님께서 우리에게 요구하시는

것이 무엇인지 알려드리고자 합니다.듣고 깊이 생각하십시오.

미가 6 : 8

사람아 주께서 선한 것이 무엇임을 네게 보이셨나니 여호와께서 네게 구하시는 것은

오직 정의를 행하며 인자를 사랑하며 겸손하게 네 하나님과 함께 행하는 것이 아니냐.

1. 하나님은 사랑과 충성을 요구하십니다.

하나님보다 우리 상황에 우선권을 두는 것이 인간의 본성입니다. 우리는 하나님보다 우리의 배우자, 자녀, 부모, 친척과 우리자신에 집중합니다. 하지만 창조주가 피조물보다 더 위대하심을 언제나 기억해야 합니다. 우리는 피조물이며 창조주는 모든 상황에서 우선이어야 합니다.

출애굽기 20 : 3 ~~~~~ 너는 나 외에는 다른 신들을 네게 두지 말라.

어느 날 율법사가 예수께 와서 물었습니다. 어느 계명이 큽니까?

마태복음 22 : 37 ~ 38 ------ 예수께서 이르시되 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주

너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하셨으니 이것이 크고 첫째 되는 계명이요.

어떤 상황에서든지 우리는 다른 것보다 하나님께 우선권을 두어야 합니다. 하나님 먼저 당신

그리고 나입니다. 이것이 어떤 다른 계명보다 크고 첫째 되는 계명이기 때문입니다. 아멘.

2. 하나님은 기쁘게 드리는 헌금을 요구하십니다.

형제자매 여러분, 대부분의 목사와 전도사들은 헌금과 십일조에 대해 말하는 것을 망설입니다.

미가 6 : 6 ~ 7

내가 무엇을 가지고 여호와 앞에 나아가며 높으신 하나님께 경배할까 내가 번제물로 일년된 송아지를 가지고 그 앞에 나아갈까 여호와께서 천천의 숫양이나 만만의 강물 같은 기름을 기뻐하실까 내 허물을 위하여 내 맏아들을, 내 영혼의 죄로 말미암아 내 몸의 열매를 드릴까.

형제자매 여러분, 내가 하나님께 드리는 헌금은 억지로가 아니라 기쁘게 드려야 합니다. 하나님은 우리 마음을 아십니다. 한번은 예수께서 성전에 앉으셔서 사람들이 헌금과 십일조를 드리는 것을 지켜보셨습니다.

마가복음 12 : 43 ~ 44

예수께서 제자들을 불러다가 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 가난한 과부는 헌금함에 넣는 모든 사람보다 많이 넣었도다 그들은 다 그 풍족한 중에서 넣었거니와 이 과부는 그

가난한 중에서 자기의 모든 소유 곧 생활비 전부를 넣었느니라 하시니라.

누가복음 6 : 38

주라 그리하면 너희에게 줄 것이니 곧 후히 되어 누르고 흔들어 넘치도록 하여 너희에게

안겨 주리라 너희가 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희도 헤아림을 도로 받을 것이니라.

3. 하나님은 우리 사이의 화합을 요구하십니다.

하나님이 그분의 백성들에게 요구하시는 세 번째는 그분의 백성들 사이의 화합과 통합입니다.

형제자매 여러분, 모든 원한과 미움을 던져버립시다. 다른 사람을 용서하고 사랑과 존중을 시작하십시오.

마태복음 5 : 23 ~ 24

그러므로 예물을 제단에 드리려다가 거기서 네 형제에게 원망들을 만한 일이 있는 것이

생각나거든 예물을 제단 앞에 두고 먼저 가서 형제와 화목하고 그 후에 와서 예물을 드리라.

고린도후서 5 : 18 ~~~ 모든 것이 하나님께로 났으며 그가 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를

자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 주셨으니.

시편 133 : 1 ~~~~~~~ 보라 형제가 연합하여 동거함이 어찌 그리 선하고 아름다운고.

하나님은 자녀들 사이의 화합과 사랑을 원하십니다. 우리 자녀가 항상 서로 싸우고 서로 미워하고 서로 문제를 일으킨다고 상상해 보십시오. 우리 부모들은 기쁠까요 당연히 아닙니다. 우리는 하나님의 자녀입니다. 우리가 화합하지 않는다면 어떻게 우리 아버지가 기쁘실까요? 하나님은 화합을 원하십니다.

4. 하나님은 분별하는 마음을 갖기를 요구하십니다.

하나님께서 우리에게 요청하시는 네 번째는 그분의 자녀가 분별하는 마음을 갖는 것입니다. 분별하는 마음이란 선과 악을 구별할 수 있는 마음입니다. 선이 무엇인지 악이 무엇인지 모르는 사람이 많습니다. 마귀는 우리를 혼란스럽게 합니다. 솔로몬 왕이 구했던 것처럼 분별하는 마음을 달라고 하나님께 구하십시오.

열왕기상 3 : 9 ~ 10

누가 주의 이 많은 백성을 재판할 수 있사오리이까 듣는 마음을 종에게 주사 주의 백성을

재판하여 선악을 분별하게 하옵소서 솔로몬이 이것을 구하매 그 말씀이 주의 마음에 든지라.

우리는 믿음으로 하나님께 구해야 합니다. 이 땅에서

성공적으로 살도록 틀림없이 하나님께서 지혜를 주실 것입니다.

야고보서 1 : 5 ~ 7

너희 중에 누구든지 지혜가 부족하거든 모든 사람에게 후히 주시고 꾸짖지 아니하시는 하나님께 구하라 그리하면 주시리라 오직 믿음으로 구하고 조금도 의심하지 말라 의심하는 자는 마치 바람에 밀려 요동하는 바다 물결 같으니 이런 사람은 무엇이든지 주께 얻기를 생각하지 말라.

5. 하나님은 불평이 아니라 감사를 요구하십니다.

하나님은 그분의 백성들이 오직 감사하기를 요구하신다는 것을 항상

기억하십시오. 우리가 불평한다면 하나님의 진노가 닥칠 것입니다.

민수기 11 : 1

여호와께서 들으시기에 백성이 악한 말로 원망하매 여호와께서 들으시고

진노하사 여호와의 불을 그들 중에 붙여서 진영 끝을 사르게 하시매.

하나님께서 이스라엘 백성을 축복하셨지만 이스라엘 백성들은 감사 대신에 불평하기 시작했습니다. 이스라엘 백성의 불평은 그들에게 하나님의 진노를 가져왔습니다. 하늘로부터 불이 내려와 진영과 사람들을 태웠습니다.

데살로니가전서 5 : 16 ~ 18 ---- 항상 기뻐하라 쉬지 말고 기도하라 범사에 감사하라 이것이

그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 향하신 하나님의 뜻이니라.

6. 하나님은 겸손을 요구하십니다.

선지자 미가가 오늘 우리에게 가르친 마지막은 우리는 사랑하고 하나님 앞에서 겸손하게 행해야 하는 것입니다.

미가 6 : 8 ~~~ 사람아 주께서 선한 것이 무엇임을 네게 보이셨나니 여호와께서 네게 구하시는 것은

오직 정의를 행하며 인자를 사랑하며 겸손하게 네 하나님과 함께 행하는 것이 아니냐.

우리는 모세에게 겸손을 배워야 합니다. 이스라엘 백성이 그를

죽이려고 돌로 치려 하였으나 그는 그들을 위해 하나님과 씨름했습니다.

민수기 12 : 3 ~~~~ 이 사람 모세는 온유함이 지면의 모든 사람보다 더하더라.

결론 :-

오늘 선지자 미가는 하나님께서 우리에게 요구하시는 것을 말했습니다.

그분이 원하시는 것을 드릴 준비가 되었습니까?

❶ 모든 상황에서 하나님께 우선권을 드릴 준비가 되었습니까? ❷ 헌금과 십일조를 기쁘게 드립니까?

❸ 모든 사람과 화합할 준비가 되었습니까? ❹ 분별하는 마음을 구합니까? ❺ 감사합니까 불평합니까?

❻ 다른 사람에게 겸손합니까 가혹합니까? ----------------------- 우리자신에게 질문하고 대답해 봅시다.

민수기 6 : 24 ~ 26

여호와는 네게 복을 주시고 너를 지키시기를 원하며 여호와는 그의 얼굴을 네게 비추사 은혜

베푸시기를 원하며 여호와는 그 얼굴을 네게로 향하여 드사 평강 주시기를 원하노라 할지니라 하라.

마태복음 21 : 22 ~~~~ 너희가 기도할 때에 무엇이든지 믿고 구하는 것은 다 받으리라 하시니라.
