Valley 는 Rob Laska(보컬), Michael Brandolino(기타), Alex Dimauro(베이스), Karah James(드럼/보컬) 로 구성된 
캐나다의 4인조 인디 팝 밴드입니다. 밝은 멜로디와 솔직한 가사로 듣는 이를 기분좋게 만드는 에너지를 가진 
밴드죠.

초년기

Michael Brandolino 와 Karah James 는 고등학교 때부터 같은 밴드를 해왔으며 Cars&Guitars 라는 밴드로 활동했고,
Rob Laska 와 Alex Dimauro 는 National Parks 라는 밴드로 활동하고 있었죠. 2014년, 두 밴드간의 녹음 스튜디오 
예약 시간이 중복 예약되는 해프닝이 생기면서 네 멤버가 한 자리에 모이게 되었는데, 우연한 이 만남을 계기로 함께
밴드를 결성하게 됩니다.

활동 이력

2015년 첫 번째 EP 'Car Test' 를 발매하며 비공식 데뷔를 가졌습니다. 
2016년에는 첫 번째 정규앨범 'This Room Is White', 를 통해 다채로운 사운드를 들려주며 인디 씬에서 활동 반경을
넓혀갔죠. 퀄리티 높은 매력적인 음악들로 리스너들에게 인기를 얻으며 언더그라운드에서 점차 수면 위로 올라오기
시작한 이 밴드는, 2019년 두 번째 정규앨범이자 첫 메이저 정규앨범 'Maybe' 를 발표하며 메이저 음악 씬에 도전장
을 내밀었습니다. 그 결과, '2020 Juno Awards' 올해의 신인 그룹 부문에 노미네이트되는 성과를 내면서 제대로 실력
을 인정받았죠. 2020년에는 세 번째 정규앨범 'suck to see you doing better' 를 발매하며 꾸준히 그 인기를 이었습니
다. 2021년에는 싱글 'Like 1999' 가 TICTOC 에서 화제가 되면서 1억 회 이상의 스트림을 기록하며 완연히 전세계적
으로 주목받게 되었고, 이 싱글을 계기로 국내 팬들을 유입하는 것에도 성공하게 됩니다. 이후 싱글 'SOCIETY', 'Oh 
shit...ara we in love?' 등을 통해 Valley 의 음악적인 색깔을 보여주었죠. 2022년에는 네 번째 정규앨범 'Last Birthday'
를 발매, 산뜻하고 감각적인 사운드로 풋풋한 사랑 이야기를 들려주었습니다. 2023년에는 다섯 번째 정규앨범 'Lost
In Translation' 을 발매하며 커리어를 펼쳐가고 있죠.
