Let us Ask, Seek, and Knock

Brothers & sisters, my dad passed away when I was just 10 years old. I remember few things about him. Everyday he awoke up early in the morning & after taking shower. He sat down for morning meditation. I don't remember his whole pray but I remember the words. He used most often as well as my mom. Matthew 7 : 7 was the one of my parents favorite verse. ~ Ask, seek and knock.

Jesus taught a wonderful pray 󰡒The Lord's Prayer󰡓 that's not end. Jesus also taught Ask, seek and knock. In today's scripture we can see Jesus gave us an other special command Ask, seek and knock.

Let's ask the will of God, seek His will & knock the door of heaven & have answer of our prayers.

Matthew 7 : 7 ~ 8

“Ask & it will be given to you; seek & you will find; knock & the door will be opened to you. - For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; & to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

What, we have ask?

Dear friends word ask is occurred 1255 times in the Holy Bible. Majority of people ask for good job, good house, good business, good spouse etc., etc. No doubt all these things are necessary for the life. Dear brothers and sisters, we don't have to follow the blessings but blessings must follow us. Blessings will follow if we will remain in Jesus and He in us. We have to ask with faith. Without faith it’s useless to pray but when we pray with faith even we pray one minute, God will answer.

James 1 : 5 ~ 6

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Hebrews 11 : 1 - Now faith is confidence in what we hope for & assurance about what we do not see.

Matthew 17 : 20

He replied, “Because u have so little faith. Truly I tell u, if u have faith as small as a mustard seed, u can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ & it will move. Nothing will be impossible for u.”

Mark 9 : 23 --- If you can? said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.

Don't ask for worldly & useless things. Ask the best thing which no one can steal. We've to ask for the wisdom. If we've wisdom. We can earn money. We can have good house, good business and good relatives. But if we don't have wisdom. We are nothing. If we ask with doubt. We are not going to have anything. Throw away the doubts & ask with faith. Ask for wisdom, Solomon he never asked for the more wealth, health or extension in his territory but he only ask for the wisdom.

1st. Kings 3 : 11 ~ 12 (Also see verse 9)

So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

We’ve to ask for the wisdom. If we've wisdom, we can have unlimited blessings. Amen.

What, we have seek?

Friends, we can occurred word seek 152 times in the Holy Bible. What we've to seek? We human being always seek worldly things likewise food, clothes and a house to live. Am I right? Dose Jesus command us to seek these worldly things. No not at all. We’ve to follow the foot prints of Jesus.

Matthew 6 : 33

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness , and all these things will be given to you.

We have to seek the Kingdom of God & His righteousness then every thing what we need will be provided by the grace of God. Jesus gave last command before He risen to heaven is make disciples.

Matthew 28 : 19 ----- Therefor go and make disciples of all nation.

Luke 19 : 10 ----- For the Son of man came to seek and to save what was lost.

Mark 6 : 7

Calling the 12 to Him, He began to send them out two by two & gave them authority over impure spirits.

Jesus came to seek the lost sheep of His Father's pasture and bring them back to Father's house. We've to seek & fulfill Lord's command. Then nobody can stop our blessings. Blessings will follow us.

Ask God to have the wisdom and seek the lost sheep of God’s pasture.

Very plainly Jesus commanded us to seek His Kingdom. Follow His ways 󰡒Seek and save󰡓

3. What, we have to Knock. (John 10 : 9 -- I am the door)

Word knock is occurred 13 times in the Holy Bible. Jesus is insisting us to knock the door. What kind of door it is? Where is that door? Jesus is asking us to knock the door of heavenly Kingdom by prayer. When we pray to God in Jesus name with the power of the Holy Spirit. Surely God will answer our prayers. Surely, later or sooner God will open the door of heaven and pour the heavenly blessings abundantly on us. Just keep knock, do not stop knocking, surely He will open.

Matthew 7 : 7

Ask & it will be given to u; seek & you will find; knock & the door will be opened to you.

Dear brothers and sisters, wherever we pray? Wherever we pray? We have to pray with faith. Without faith pray is useless. We pray an hour or we pray 5 minutes we have to pray with faith. Whenever we pray there shouldn't any doubt in prayers. - Let's knock with faith in pray.

James 1 : 6

But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who

doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

John 16 : 24

Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask & you will receive, & your joy will be complete.

Conclusion :-

Dear brothers & sisters today in the scripture Jesus told us “how to pray”? “What to ask” in prayer? “Which door we may knock”?When we knock? Where we knock? How, we can knock the door.

We can knock the door of God any time. We’ve to knock the door with faith & wait.

Matthew 7 : 11

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,

how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!

Psalms 50 : 15

and call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.

Isaiah 30 : 18

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you

compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!

구하고, 찾고, 두드립시다

형제자매 여러분, 제가 겨우 10살 때에 아버지가 돌아가셨습니다. 아버지에 대해 몇 가지를 기억합니다. 매일 아침 일찍 일어나셔서 샤워를 하신 후에 아침 묵상을 위해 앉으셨습니다. 제가 아버지의 기도 전체를 기억하지는 못하지만 단어를 기억합니다. 어머니보다 더 자주 사용하셨습니다. 마태복음 7:7은 부모님이 좋아하시는 구절 중 하나였습니다. ‘구하라, 찾으라, 두드리라’ 예수님은 ‘주님의 기도’라는 위대한 기도를 가르치셨는데 그것이 끝이 아닙니다. 또한 ‘구하라, 찾으라, 두드리라’고 가르치셨습니다. 오늘의 본문 말씀에서 예수님은 우리에게 ‘구하라, 찾으라. 두드리라’는 또 다른 특별한 명령을 하신 것을 알 수 있습니다. - 하나님의 뜻을 구하고 그분의 뜻을 찾고 하늘 문을 두드려서 우리 기도의 응답을 받읍시다.

마태복음 7 : 7 ~ 8

구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그리하면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니 구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요 두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라

무엇을 구해야 할까요?

성경에 ‘구하라’는 단어가 1255번 있습니다. 대부분의 사람들은 훌륭한 직업, 좋은 집, 좋은 사업, 좋은 배우자 등등을 구합니다. 틀림없이 이 모든 것들은 삶에 꼭 필요합니다. 형제자매 여러분, 우리가 축복을 따라가는 것이 아니라 축복이 우리를 따라야 합니다. 우리가 예수 안에, 그분이 우리 안에 거하시면 축복이 따를 것입니다. 우리는 믿음으로 구해야 합니다. 믿음이 없으면 기도하는 것이 쓸모없지만 믿음으로 기도하면 일분을 기도할지라도 하나님께서 응답하실 것입니다.

야고보서 1 : 5 ~ 6

너희 중에 누구든지 지혜가 부족하거든 모든 사람에게 후히 주시고 꾸짖지 아니하시는

하나님께 구하라 그리하면 주시리라 오직 믿음으로 구하고 조금도 의심하지 말라 의심하는

자는 마치 바람에 밀려 요동하는 바다 물결 같으니.

히브리서 11 : 1 ~~~~ 믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보이지 않는 것들의 증거니.

마태복음 17 : 20

이르시되 너희 믿음이 적은 까닭이니라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알 만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라.

마가복음 9 : 23

예수께서 이르시되 할 수 있거든이 무슨 말이냐 믿는 자에게는 능히 하지 못할 일이 없느니라 하시니.

세상적이고 무익한 것을 구하지 마십시오. 아무도 훔칠 수 없는 최고의 것을 구하십시오. 우리는 지혜를 구해야 합니다. 지혜를 얻으면 돈을 벌 수 있고 좋은 집, 훌륭한 사업, 원만한 관계를 얻을 수 있습니다. 하지만 지혜가 없으면 아무 것도 아닙니다. 의심하면서 구하면 아무 것도 얻지 못할 것입니다. 의심을 던져버리고 믿음으로 구하십시오. 지혜를 구하십시오.

솔로몬은 더 많은 부와 건강, 영토 확장을 구하지 않고 오직 지혜를 구했습니다.

열왕기상 3 : 11 ~ 12 (또한 9절을 보십시오)

이에 하나님이 그에게 이르시되 네가 이것을 구하도다 자기를 위하여 장수하기를 구하지 아니하며 부도 구하지 아니하며 자기 원수의 생명을 멸하기를 구하지 아니하고 오직 송사를 듣고 분별하는 지혜를

구하였으니 내게 네 말대로 하여 네게 지혜롭고 총명한 마음을 주노니 네 앞에도 너와

같은 자가 없었거니와 네 뒤에도 너와 같은 자가 일어남이 없으리라.

우리는 지혜를 구해야 합니다. 지혜를 얻으면 한없는 축복을 받을 수 있습니다. 아멘.

무엇을 찾아야 할까요?

성경에서 ‘찾으라’는 단어를 152번 발견할 수 있습니다. 무엇을 찾아야 할까요? 사람들은 항상 음식, 옷, 살 집과 같이 세상적인 것을 구합니다. 그렇죠? 예수께서 우리에게 이런 세상적인 것을 찾으라고 명령하 셨습니까? 전혀 그렇지 않습니다. 우리는 예수의 발자취를 따라야 합니다.

마태복음 6 : 33

그런즉 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라.

우리는 하나님의 나라와 그분의 의를 구해야 하고 그러면 우리가 필요한 모든 것이 하나님의 은혜로

공급될 것입니다. 예수께서 하늘로 올라가시기 전에 주신 마지막 명령은 제자를 삼으라는 것입니다.

마태복음 28 : 19 ~~~~~ 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아.

누가복음 19 : 10 ~~ 인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라.

마가복음 6 : 7

열두 제자를 부르사 둘씩 둘씩 보내시며 더러운 귀신을 제어하는 권능을 주시고.

예수님은 아버지 목장의 잃어버린 양을 찾아 아버지 집으로 다시 데려가시기 위해 오셨습니다. 우리는 찾고 주님의 명령을 행해야 합니다. 그러면 우리 축복을 누구도 멈출 수 없습니다. 축복이 우리를 따를 것입니다. 지혜를 얻기를 하나님께 구하고 하나님 목장의 잃어버린 양을 찾으십시오.

분명히 예수님은 그분의 나라를 찾으라고 명령하셨습니다. 찾고 구원하는 그분의 길을 따르십시오.

무엇을 두드려야 할까요? (요한복음 10 : 9 내가 문이니)

성경에 ‘두드리라’는 단어는 13번 나옵니다. 예수님은 문을 두드리라고 강조하십니다. 어떤 문일까요? 그 문은 어디에 있을까요? 예수님은 기도로 하늘나라의 문을 두드리라고 우리에게 요청하십니다. 우리가 예수의 이름으로 성령의 능력을 가지고 하나님께 기도할 때 틀림없이 하나님께서 우리 기도에 응답하실 것입니다. 틀림없이 하나님께서 하늘 문을 곧 여시고 하늘의 축복을 우리 위에 풍성하게 부으실 것입니다. 오직 계속해서 두드리고 멈추지 마십시오. 틀림없이 그분께서 여실 것입니다.

마태복음 7 : 7

구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그리하면

찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니.

형제자매 여러분, 우리가 어디서 기도하든지 무엇을 기도하든지 믿음으로 기도해야 합니다.

믿음이 없으면 기도는 쓸모없습니다. 1시간을 기도하든지 5분을 기도하든지 믿음으로 기도해야

합니다. 기도할 때마다 어떤 의심도 없어야 합니다. 기도할 때 믿음으로 두드립시다.

야고보서 1 : 6

오직 믿음으로 구하고 조금도 의심하지 말라 의심하는 자는 마치 바람에 밀려 요동하는 바다 물결 같으니.

요한복음 16 : 24

지금까지 너희가 내 이름으로 아무 것도 구하지 아니하였으나

구하라 그리하면 받으리니 너희 기쁨이 충만하리라.

결론 :-

형제자매 여러분, 오늘 본문 말씀에서 예수님은 어떻게 기도할지, 기도할 때 무엇을 구할지, 어떤 문을 두드려야 할지 말씀하셨습니다. 우리는 언제 두드리고 어디서 두드리고 그 문을 어떻게 두드릴 수 있습니까? 우리는 하나님의 문을 언제든지 두드릴 수 있습니다. 우리는 믿음으로 그 문을 두드리고 기다려야 합니다.

마태복음 7 : 11

너희가 악한 자라도 좋은 것으로 자식에게 줄 줄 알거든 하물며 하늘에

계신 너희 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 좋은 것으로 주시지 않겠느냐.

시편 50 : 15

환난 날에 나를 부르라 내가 너를 건지리니 네가 나를 영화롭게 하리로다.

이사야 30 : 18

그러나 여호와께서 기다리시리니 이는 너희에게 은혜를 베풀려 하심이요 일어나시리니 이는 너희를

긍휼히 여기려 하심이라 대저 여호와는 정의의 하나님이심이라 그를 기다리는 자마다 복이 있도다.
