1. Miss, the doe ate my homework! … in Sichuan, China, a deer strolled into a school classroom and began munching their exam papers. As the students looked on in disbelief, the curious animal trotted between desks, nosed up to a stack of papers and had a bite. The tiny monkeys – less than a foot long – are among the most threatened primates in the world, driven to the brink by medical experiments, deforestation and the illegal pet trade. Today, they are critically endangered, with fewer than 7,500 in the wild.
