『Y.M.C.A』는 1978년 미국의 남성 6인조 Dance, Disco

Group 「Village People」이 발표하여 '빌 보드 Hot 100'

차트에서 2위 까지 올랐고, 영국, 독일, 호주, 프랑스, 독일 등

여러 나라에서 1위를 차지하며 전 세계적인 히트를 했으며

무려 1,200만 장 이라는 엄청난 앨범 판매 고를 기록하며

상업적으로 대성공을 거두었죠. 또한 2020년 Grammy Award

명예의 전당에 오르기도 했습니다.

『Y.M.C.A』는 단순하고 쉬운 멜로디, 강렬한 기타

소리 그리고 유쾌한 가사가 특징이라 운동 경기에서

신 나게 응원할 때 또는 흥에 겨워 집단으로 춤을 출 때

자주 쓰이고 있습니다.

특히 이 곡은 트럼프 미국 대통령 선거 유세(遊說) 곡으로

취임식 행사 곡으로 트럼프를 춤추게 한 곡으로도 유명하죠

1977년에 데뷔한「Village People」의 대표 곡으로는
