Year 2 Entry Point - A Day In The Life

Year 2 had a brilliant start to their IPC topic, ‘A Day In The Life’ - Jobs. As part of their effort to find out more about different kinds of jobs available, the children created a list of questions they wanted to ask when they interviewed parents regarding their work. We then set a day where we had many parents volunteer to come in to be interviewed by the children. It was definitely interesting for the children to see a mix of different professions all gathered in our hall. Some parents came in their uniforms or work-related clothes and brought in the equipment they used in their everyday work. The children had fun going through their list of questions and learning about a range of professions. It's given them something to think about when deciding on their favourite jobs for the future. Thank you again to all the volunteers who took time out of their busy work schedule to share with our Year 2!
