Bible Reading - Luke 6:41~49

6:41 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

"어찌하여 너는 형제의 눈에 있는 작은 티끌은 보고 네 눈에 있는 큰 들보는 보지 못하느냐?"

6:42 How can you say to your brother, 어떻게 너는 너의 형제에게 말할 수 있는가?

'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' 형제여, 내가 너의 눈에서 티끌을 빼게 하라.

when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye?

너 자신이 너 자신의 눈에서 판자를 보기를 실패할 때

You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, 너 위선자야, 우선 너의 눈에서 판자를 취하라.

and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

그러면 너는 너의 형제의 눈에서 티끌을 제거하므로 분명하게 볼 것이다. 

6:43 "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.

좋은 나무는 나쁜 열매를 맺지 못하며, 나쁜 나무가 좋은 열매를 맺지 못한다.

6:44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. 각 나무는 고유한 열매로 구별된다.

People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.

사람들은 가시덤불에서 무화과를 따거나 덤불숲에서 포도를 따지 못한다.

6:45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart,

선한 사람은 마음속에 쌓아둔 선함을 바탕으로 선한 일을 행한다.

and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.

악한 사람은 마음속에 쌓아둔 악에서 악한 일들을 이끌어낸다.

For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

마음속에 가득 찬 것이 입으로 나오기 때문입니다.

6:46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?

어찌하여 너희는 나를 ‘주님, 주님’이라 부르면서 내가 말하는 것을 행하지 않느냐?

6:47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice.

내게 와서 내 말을 듣고 실천하는 사람이 어떤 사람인지 내가 너희에게 보여주겠다.

6:48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock.

그는 마치 집을 짓는 사람과 같으니, 땅을 깊이 파서 반석 위에 기초를 놓은 것과 같다.

When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it,

홍수가 났을 때, 급류가 그 집을 덮쳤지만 집은 흔들리지 않았다.

because it was well built. 왜냐하면 그것은 잘 건축되었기 때문이다.

6:49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation.

그러나 내 말을 듣고도 행하지 않는 사람은 기초 없이 땅 위에 집을 지은 사람과 같다.

The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."

급류가 그 집을 덮치는 순간, 집은 무너져 내렸고 완전히 파괴되었다.
