미국 의회 의원들이 연례 자선행사에 참석하기 위해 워싱턴 DC 내셔널스 파크에서 경기를 하고 있다. 공화당 팀은 기후 시위자들이 경기를 잠시 방해하였으나 31-11로 승리했다.

🏯⚾️자선을 위한 의회 야구 경기는 미국 의회 의원들이 매년 여름마다 개최하는 야구 경기이다. 하원 역사학자실에 따르면 이 경기는 1909년 동료들 사이에서 캐주얼한 이벤트로 시작되었으며 결국 워싱턴 DC에서 가장 기대되는 연례 오락 중 하나로 발전했다. 경기에서는 공화당과 민주당이 별도의 팀을 구성해 서로 대결한다. 현재 이 게임은 4개의 자선 단체, 즉 광역 워싱턴 소년소녀 클럽, 워싱턴 내셔널스 드림 재단, 워싱턴 리터러시 센터, 그리고 2017년 야구 경기 전 연습 슈팅에 이어 미국 의회 의사당 경찰 추모 기금을 위한 기금을 모금하고 있다. 이 경기에는 일반적으로 의회 직원, 의회 가족, 때로는 고위 인사와 미국 대통령도 참석한다.
