See social issues through global eyes. Our students love putting on their global goggles to explore solutions to social issues around the world, in their Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspective lessons.
This term, we’ve been learning about biodiversity and the rich spectrum of life that we share our planet with. Students have been investigating the risks to global biodiversity and exploring the actions we need to take to help maintain species diversity.
Not being all talk, Year 10 and Year 11 students took action with a beach clean-up. Helping make our beaches cleaner and healthier, not only for us all to enjoy but for our animals and plants to survive. It was a hot day but we all came back happy knowing that we are making a difference.
Year 11 student Austin reflected: “I now understand the importance of biodiversity and our duty in preserving its existence. I know now the many ways and solutions we can use to save plants and animals, and I enjoyed teaching the short lesson to the younger students for them to be aware of this issue too.”
Invaluable knowledge that we hope means action for life.
