† You want to be Hero or Zero? †

Brothers and sisters, majority of people claim that they want to live like HERO but their attitude or actions or worse than ZERO or Villian. Friends, last Monday, I was watching a movie in my home. Movie name was “Mission impossible“ Tom Cruze was the Hero and we have to know that HERO can do all impossible things. Everyone appreciate, Hero cause Hero is always so good and kind.

Dear friends today, I strongly wish that everyone of us become spiritually hero and heroines.

Today, in the scripture King David told us the secret how to become HERO and Heroines.

Friends, listen & read carefully. I am going to share few Biblically HEROS and Heroines.

1. Job the HERO.

Dear brother and sisters in Christ. Job was a real HERO. God by Himself appreciated Job.

Job 1 : 8

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? There is no one

on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

But Devil did his best to make Job from HERO to ZERO. Within a day Job lost everything.

His health, wealth, children, servants, even Job took piece of broken pottery to scraped himself.

Job 2 : 7 ~ 9

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.

His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”

Devil made Job from HERO to ZERO. But the faith of Job made him again from ZERO to HERO.

Job 2 : 10

He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, & not trouble?”

Job 23 : 10 ~ 12

But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed His steps; I have kept to His way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.

Strong faith in the Lord made Job from ZERO to HERO. (Job 42 : 10 God blessed Job double)

Matthew 21 : 22 ~~~~ If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

2. Queen Esther became the HEROIN.

2ndly, I want to draw your attention towards a queen Esther. She was just simple queen & was living very simple life like others queens but her love for her nation made her HEROIN. Haman planned to kill all Israelites but Mordecai the uncle of queen sent message to queen Esther to save her nation.

Esther 4 : 16

“Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for

three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done,

I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Queen Esther saved all Israelites. She stood before king by, not worrying about her life.

She said And if I perish, I perish. Queen Esther became real Heroin by showing her love for her nation.

1st. Timothy 2 : 1 ~ 2

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings & all those in authority, that we may live peaceful & quiet lives in all godliness & holiness.

3. Saul became HERO to ZERO.

3rdly.we can see Saul, who was the 1st.king of Israel. He was having good physique, tall & strong. Saul won lots of battles but he disobey God & he became HERO to ZERO. Let’s examine ourselves.

1st. Samuel 15 : 23

For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry.

Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has rejected you as king.

Saul focused the people not God. Friends, it’s time to examine ourselves. Focus God not people.

Hebrews 3 : 1 (God 1st. You then Later I) --- (1st. samuel 15 : 22)

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus

Hebrews 12 : 3 ~~ fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

4. Zacchaeus the Tax Collector became the HERO.

Friends, Zacchaeus was a Tax Collector, he was very rich but there was something lack in his life. He heard a lot about Jesus but never saw. One day Jesus came in his town. Zacchaeus was short height person. Cause of crowd he was unable to see Jesus. Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore-fig tree. When Jesus came under the tree. Jesus called Zacchaeus and went his house and ate with him. Nobody like tax collectors. He was ZERO but when he met Jesus & obeyed His teaching. He became HERO.

Luke 19 : 8

But Zacchaeus stood up & said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here & now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

Money lover become money giver. ZERO became HERO. Let’s be giver not receiver. (Luke 6 : 38)

5. Apostle Peter and Thomas became HERO.

Friends, Apostle Peter denied Jesus three times but, he not only deny, then & there Peter repent.

Matthew 26 : 74 ~ 75

Then he began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know the man!” Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows,

you will disown Me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Acts 3 : 19

Repent, then, & turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Apostle Thomas did not believe in Jesus’s resurrection. Jesus revealed Himself to Apostle Thomas.

John 20 : 27 ~ 29

Then He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see My hands. Reach out your hand & put it into My side. Stop doubting & believe.” Thomas said to Him, “My Lord & My God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Friends, we don't have to doubt in God’s grace. Jesus is risen and gave us New Life.

1st Corinthians 5 : 17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

(Matthew 27 : 3) Judas Iscariot was HERO but became ZERO. He just remorse not repent.

Conclusion :-

Devil do his best to make us ZERO. Adam and Eve. Everyday, they had fellowship with God. But Devil seduced them and made them from HERO to ZERO. Friends, let’s overcome all Devil’s schemes and be the HERO not ZERO. Not only listen the word of God but obey it, and be blessed.

Psalms 1 : 1 ~ 2 ---- Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand

in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in

the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night.

영웅이 되고 싶습니까 무가치한 사람이 되고 싶습니까?

형제자매 여러분, 대부분의 사람들은 영웅(HERO)처럼 살고 싶다고 말하지만 그들의 태도나 행동은 무가치한 인간(ZERO)이나 악당보다 더 나쁩니다. 지난 월요일에 저는 집에서 영화를 보았습니다. 영화 제목은 ‘미션 임파서블’이었는데 탐 크루즈는 영웅이었습니다. 영웅은 불가능한 모든 일을 할 수 있습니다. 모든 사람이 영웅에게 고마워하는데 영웅은 항상 너무 훌륭하고 친절하기 때문입니다.

우리 모두 영적으로 영웅이 되기를 오늘 저는 축원합니다.

오늘, 본문 말씀에서 다윗 왕은 영웅이 되는 비밀을 말했습니다.

잘 듣고 읽으십시오. 저는 몇몇 성경의 영웅에 대해 나누려고 합니다.

1. 영웅 욥.

주 안에 있는 형제자매 여러분, 욥은 진정한 영웅이었습니다. 하나님께서 직접 욥을 칭찬하셨습니다.

욥기 1 : 8

여호와께서 사탄에게 이르시되 네가 내 종 욥을 주의하여 보았느냐 그와 같이

온전하고 정직하여 하나님을 경외하며 악에서 떠난 자는 세상에 없느니라.

하지만 마귀는 욥을 영웅에서 무가치한 사람으로 만들려고 최선을 다했습니다. 하루 만에 욥은 건강,

재산, 자녀, 종들, 모든 것을 잃었고 심지어 욥은 질그릇 조각을 가지고 몸을 긁었습니다.

욥기 2 : 7 ~ 8

사탄이 이에 여호와 앞에서 물러가서 욥을 쳐서 그의 발바닥에서 정수리까지 종기가 나게 한지라 욥이 재 가운데 앉아서 질그릇 조각을 가져다가 몸을 긁고 있더니 그의 아내가 그에게 이르되 당신이 그래도 자기의 온전함을 굳게 지키느냐 하나님을 욕하고 죽으라.

마귀는 욥을 영웅에서 무가치한 사람으로 만들었습니다. 하지만 욥의

믿음이 그를 다시 무가치한 사람에서 영웅으로 만들었습니다.

욥기 1 : 10 ~~ 그가 이르되 그대의 말이 한 어리석은 여자의 말 같도다

우리가 하나님께 복을 받았은즉 화도 받지 아니하겠느냐.

욥기 23 : 10 ~ 12

그러나 내가 가는 길을 그가 아시나니 그가 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가 순금같이 되어 나오리라 내 발이 그의 걸음을 바로 따랐으면 내가 그의 길을 지켜 치우치지 아니하였고 내가 그의 입술의 명령을 어기지 아니하고 정한 음식보다 그의 입의 말씀을 귀히 여겼도다.

주님에 대한 강한 믿음이 욥을 무가치한 사람에서 영웅으로 만들었습니다.

(욥기 42:10 하나님께서 욥을 두배로 축복하셨습니다.)

마태복음 21 : 22 ~~~ 너희가 기도할 때에 무엇이든지 믿고 구하는 것은 다 받으리라 하시니라.

2. 왕후 에스더는 영웅이 되었습니다.

두 번째, 저는 왕후 에스더에게로 여러분의 관심을 끌고자 합니다. 그녀는 단지 왕후였고 다른 왕후들처럼 매우 단순한 삶을 살고 있었으나 그녀의 민족에 대한 사랑이 그녀를 영웅으로 만들었습니다. 하만은 이스라엘 백성을 죽이려고 계획했지만 모르드개는 왕후 에스더에게 민족을 구하라고 전갈을 보냈습니다.

에스더 4 : 16

당신은 가서 수산에 있는 유다인을 다 모으고 나를 위하여 금식하되 밤낮 삼일을 먹지도 말고 마시지도 마소서 나도 나의 시녀와 더불어 이렇게 금식한 후에 규례를 어기고 왕에게 나아가리니 죽으면 죽으리이다 하니라.

왕후 에스더는 모든 이스라엘 백성을 구했습니다. 그녀는 자신의 생명을 걱정하지 않고

왕 앞에 섰습니다. 그녀는 ‘죽으면 죽으리이다’라고 말했습니다. 왕후 에스더는

그녀의 민족에 대한 사랑을 보여줌으로써 진정한 영웅이 되었습니다.

디모데전서 2 : 1 ~ 2

그러므로 내가 첫째로 권하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정함으로 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이라.

3. 사울은 영웅에서 무가치한 사람이 되었습니다.

세 번째, 사울을 볼 수 있는데 그는 이스라엘의 첫 번째 왕이었습니다. 그는 훌륭한 외모를 가졌고 키가 크고 힘이 강했습니다. 사울은 수많은 전쟁에서 승리했지만 하나님께 불순종하여

영웅에서 무가치한 사람이 되었습니다. 우리자신을 점검합시다.

사무엘상 15 : 23

이는 거역하는 것은 점치는 죄와 같고 완고한 것은 사신 우상에게 절하는 죄와 같음이라

왕이 여호와의 말씀을 버렸으므로 여호와께서도 왕을 버려 왕이 되지 못하게 하셨나이다 하니.

사울은 하나님이 아니라 사람에게 집중했습니다. 우리자신을

점검할 시간입니다. 사람이 아니라 하나님께 집중하십시오.

히브리서 3 : 1 (하나님 먼저, 당신 그리고 나)

그러므로 함께 하늘의 부르심을 받은 거룩한 형제들아 우리가

믿는 도리의 사도이시며 대제사장이신 예수를 깊이 생각하라.

히브리서 12 : 2 ~~ 믿음의 주요 또 온전하게 하시는 이인 예수를 바라보자.

4. 세리 삭개오는 영웅이 되었습니다.

삭개오는 세리였고 매우 부유했지만 삶에 부족한 것이 있었습니다. 그는 예수에 대해 많이 들었으나 보지 못했습니다. 어느 날 예수님이 그의 마을에 오셨습니다. 삭개오는 키가 작았습니다. 군중 때문에 예수님을 볼 수 없었습니다. 그는 돌무화과나무로 올라갔습니다. 예수님이 나무 아래에 오셨을 때 삭개오를 부르셨고 그의 집으로 가셔서 그와 함께 먹었습니다. 아무도 세리를 좋아하지 않습니다. 그는 무가치한 사람이었으나 그가 예수를 만나 그분의 가르침에 순종했을 때 그는 영웅이 되었습니다.

누가복음 19 : 8 ~~ 삭개오가 서서 주께 여짜오되 주여 보시옵소서 내 소유의 절반을 가난한 자들에게

주겠사오며 만일 누구의 것을 속여 빼앗은 일이 있으면 네 갑절이나 갚겠나이다.

돈을 사랑하는 사람이 돈을 주는 사람이 되었습니다. 무가치한 사람이 영웅이 되었습니다.

받는 사람이 아니라 주는 사람이 됩시다. (누가복음 6 : 38)

5. 사도 베드로와 도마는 영웅이 되었습니다.

사도 베드로는 예수를 세 번 부인했지만 부인만 한 것이 아니라 즉시 회개했습니다.

마태복음 26 : 74 ~ 75

그가 저주하며 맹세하여 이르되 나는 그 사람을 알지 못하노라 하니 곧 닭이 울더라 이에 베드로가 예수의 말씀에 닭 울기 전에 네가 세 번 나를 부인하리라 하심이 생각나서 밖에 나가서 심히 통곡하니라.

사도행전 3 : 19 ~~ 그러므로 너희가 회개하고 돌이켜 너희 죄 없이 함을 받으라

이같이 하면 새롭게 되는 날이 주 앞으로부터 이를 것이요.

사도 도마는 예수의 부활을 믿지 않았습니다. 예수께서 사도 도마에게 나타나셨습니다.

요한복음 20 : 27 ~ 29

도마에게 이르시되 네 손가락을 이리 내밀어 내 손을 보고 네 손을 내밀어 내 옆구리에 넣어보라 그리하여 믿음 없는 자가 되지 말고 믿는 자가 되라 도마가 대답하여 이르되 나의 주님이시요 나의 하나님이시니이다 예수께서 이르시되 너는 나를 본 고로 믿느냐 보지 못하고 믿는 자들은 복되도다 하시니라.

하나님의 은혜를 의심하지 말아야 합니다. 예수님은 살아나셨고 우리에게 새 생명을 주셨습니다.

고린도후서 5 : 17

그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다.

가룟 유다는 영웅이었지만 무가치한 사람이 되었습니다. 그는 회개하지 않고 후회했습니다. (마태복음 27 : 3)

결론 :-

마귀는 우리를 무가치한 사람으로 만들기 위해 최선을 다합니다. 아담과 하와는 날마다 하나님과 교제했습니다. 하지만 마귀가 그들을 속여 영웅에서 무가치한 사람으로 만들었습니다. 모든 마귀의 계략을 이겨서 무가치한 사람이 아니라 영웅이 됩시다. 하나님의 말씀을 들을 뿐 아니라 순종하여 축복 받으십시오.

시편 1 : 1 ~ 2 ~~ 복 있는 사람은 악인들의 꾀를 따르지 아니하며 죄인들의 길에 서지 아니하며

오만한 자들의 자리에 앉지 아니하고 오직 여호와의 율법을 즐거워하여.
