 워터딥의 이름난 사기꾼 bleech는 사기, 협박, 변장의 달인이다. 하지만 10년 전의 사건 이후로 워터딥에서 쫓겨나 흘러 흘러 이곳 웨스트 우드까지 흘러들어 왔다. 처음 웨스트 우드에 들어올 때 그는 신목의 정령 ‘아프라시스’와 한 가지 계약을 하였다. 10년간 수호자로서 숲을 지켜주는 대신 워터딥으로 돌아갈 방법을 알려 주기로 하였다. bleech는 숲의 수호자 역할을 하면서 워터딥으로 돌아가 자신을 함정에 빠뜨리고 워터딥에서 좇아낸 이들에게 복수할 날만을 기다리고 있었다. 그러나 10년 후 계약의 마지막 날 아프라시스가 납치되고 말았다.

결국 bleech는 자신의 복수를 위해 다른 수호자와 함께 아프라시스를 구하러 떠난다.
