Waldorf early childhood care and education in the 21st century

Many of the elements of the Waldorf approach, featured 100 years ago with the opening of the first Waldorf early childhood groups, are now supported by current evidence and research into child development. . Waldorf practitioners(실무자) are developing stronger and better-informed practice(관행) based on the founding principles,

contemporary resources(자원), and an ever-deepening understanding of young

children today. 

In this paper, I intend to explore(조사) five of the significant themes that have received additional impetus in recent years.

100년 전 최초의 발도르프 유아 교육 기관이 개설되면서 선보인 발도르프 교육 방식의 많은 요소들은 오늘날 아동 발달에 대한 증거와 연구를 통해 뒷받침되고 있습니다 발도르프 교육자들은 창립 원칙, 현대적인 자료, 그리고 오늘날 어린이에 대한 더욱 깊어진 이해를 바탕으로 더욱 강력하고 정보에 입각한 교육 방식을 발전시키고 있습니다.

본 논문에서는 최근 몇 년 동안 더욱 주목받게 된 다섯 가지 주요 주제를 살펴보고자 합니다

1. In the Waldorf approach, a foundation of social and emotional development is prioritised as a support for later cognitive development. 발도르프 접근 방식에서는 사회적, 정서적 발달의 토대를 우선시하며, 이는 이후의 인지 발달을 위한 기반이 됩니다.

2. A key feature of the Waldorf early childhood environment is that it is a sensorially friendly and unhurried microcosm of everyday life.발도르프 유아 교육 환경의 핵심 특징은 감각적으로 편안하고 여유로운 일상생활의 축소판(여유로운 소우주)이라는 점입니다.

3. Waldorf practitioners and teachers have been actively promoting for the past century the importance of building up(구축) children’s connections(사이) with nature.

발도르프 교육자들과 교사들은 지난 세기 동안 아이들이 자연과 교감하는 것의 중요성을 적극적으로 홍보해 왔습니다.

4. As a result of increased academicization and the pressures of 21st-century life, child-initiated, free, creative play is under threat and needs protection and support. 학업 중심주의의 심화와 21세기 삶의 압박으로 인해 아동 주도의 자유롭고 창의적인 놀이가 위협받고 있으며, 보호와 지원이 필요합니다.

5. One aspect of the Waldorf approach viewed as key is that the inner development of the practitioner or teacher is just, if not more, important than their outer work. 발도르프 교육 방식의 핵심적인 측면 중 하나는 교사 또는 교육자의 내면적 발달이 외적인 활동만큼, 혹은 그 이상으로 중요하다는 점입니다.

Following this review of essential aspects of the Waldorf approach in light of recent developments, the paper concludes by looking to the future and pinpointing three aspects at the forefront of research and development among Waldorf early childhood practitioners today.

최근의 발전 상황을 바탕으로 발도르프 교육 방식의 필수적인 측면들을 살펴본 후, 본 논문은 미래를 내다보며 오늘날 발도르프 유아 교육 전문가들 사이에서 연구 및 개발의 최전선에 있는 세 가지 측면을 제시하며 마무리합니다.
