양보, 대조 접속사의 이해

‘(비록) ～지만/일지라도’의 양보를 이끄는 접속사로는 though, although, even though[if]등이 있으며, whether A or B(A이든 B이든) 또한 양보를 나타낸다. while이나 whereas는 ‘～인 반면’의 뜻으로 대조를 나타낸다.

eg. Although he is old, he is quite strong. 그는 나이가 많아도 아주 정정하다.

      Lucy is rich, while I am poor. 나는 가난한 반면, Lucy는 부자이다.
