사랑은 charity

45 그리고 사랑은 오래 참고, 친절하며, 시기하지 아니하며, 교만하지 아니하며, 자기의 것을 구하지 아니하며, 쉽게 성내지 아니하며 악한 것을 생각하지 아니하며, 불의를 기뻐하지 아니하고, 진리를 기뻐하며 모든 것을 참으며 모든 것을 믿으며 모든 것을 바라며 모든 것을 견디느니라.
And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

46 그런즉 나의 사랑하는 형제들아, 만일 너희에게 사랑이 없으면, 너희는 아무것도 아니니, 이는 사랑은 언제까지나 시들지 아니함이라. 그런즉 모든 것 중에 으뜸이 되는 사랑을 붙들라. 이는 모든 것이 반드시 시들되 -
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail-

47 이 사랑은 그리스도의 순수한 사랑이라. 영원히 견딤이요, 누구든지 마지막 날에 이를 지닌 것으로 드러나는 자는 잘 될 것임이니라.
But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.

48 그런즉 내 사랑하는 형제들아, 마음의 힘을 다해 아버지께 기도하여, 그의 아들 예수 그리스도를 참되게 따르는 자 모두에게 내려주신 이 사랑으로 충만하게 되며, 너희가 하나님의 아들이 되며, 그가 나타나실 때에 그가 계신 그대로 우리가 그를 볼 것인즉, 우리가 그와 같이 되게 하며, 우리로 이 소망을 갖게 하며, 그가 순결하신 것같이 우리가 순결하게 되게 할지어다. 아멘.
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.
