호수 표면이 끓어오르듯 거세게 일렁였다.

수십, 수백의 익시언 전사들이 물 위로 뛰쳐나왔다.

그리고 촉수 괴물의 팔 같은 것들이 수면 곳곳에서 튀어나와 드래곤들을 붙잡으려 했다.

드래곤들의 전투

레드 드래곤:

초조한 기운을 억누르며 불길을 토했다.

호수 전체가 붉게 빛나며 익시언 무리 수십 마리가 끓는 듯 비명을 질렀다.

“물이라도 태울 수 있지! 다 타라!!”

블랙 드래곤:

무덤덤한 표정으로 어둠의 손을 뻗어 촉수 괴물을 끌어내렸다.

동시에 애시드 브레스를 뿜어내며 거대한 집게발을 녹여버렸다.

“끝없는 파도… 그래, 죽여도 또 나오겠지. 하지만 오늘은 여기까지다.”

화이트 드래곤:

흔들리는 몸으로도 빛을 내뿜어 동료들의 상처를 봉합했다.

바람을 일으켜 물보라를 흩어내며 외쳤다.

“포기하지 마! 우리가 밀리면, 이곳은 어둠에 잠겨버려!”

괴물들의 수는 줄지 않았다.

한 무리를 쓰러뜨리면, 또 다른 무리가 호수 밑에서 솟아올랐다.

레드의 불길, 블랙의 어둠, 화이트의 빛이 끊임없이 교차하며 전장을 뒤덮었다.

호수 위는 마치 거대한 전쟁터 같았다.

비린내, 불길, 어둠, 그리고 피로 물든 수면

새벽도 어둠도 아닌 시간은, 점점 더 깊은 혼돈 속으로 가라앉고 있었다.
