Bible Reading - Luke 8:21~30

8:21 He replied, 그가 대답했다.

"My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice."

내 어머니와 형제들은 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 실천하는 그 사람들이다. 

8:22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, 어느날 예수께서 그의 제자들에게 말씀하셨다.

 "Let's go over to the other side of the lake." 호수 건너편으로 건너가자.

So they got into a boat and set out. 그래서 그들은 배에 올라 타고 출발했다.

8:23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. 그들이 항해했을 때 그는 잠에 드셨다.

A squall came down on the lake, 호수 위로 돌풍이 몰아쳤고

so that the boat was being swamped, 그래서 그 배는 물에 잠기는 중이었다.

and they were in great danger. 그리고 그들은 큰 위험에 빠졌다.

8:24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, 제자들이 가서 그를 깨우며 말하기를 

"Master, Master, we're going to drown!" 주님, 주님, 우리는 익사할 것 같습니다 .

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; 그가 깨어나서 바람과 성난 파도를 꾸짖으셨다.

the storm subsided(가라앉다), and all was calm. 폭풍이 잦아들고 모든 것이 평온해졌다.

8:25 "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.

"너희의 믿음이 어디있느냐?"고 그가 제자들에게 물으셨다.

In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? 

두려움과 놀라움으로 그들은 서로에게 "이 사람이 누구인가?"하고 물었다.

He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."

그는 심지어 바람과 물에게 조차 명령을 하고, 그들은 그에게 순종한다.

8:26 They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, which is across the lake from Galilee.

그들은 갈릴리에서 호수를 건너 거라사인의 지역으로 항해했다.

8:27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. 

예수께서 해변을 발을 내딛으셨을 때, 그는 그 마을에서 귀신들린 한 사람을 만났다.

For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs.

오랜 시간 동안 이 사람은 옷을 입지 않고 집에서 살지도 않고 무덤에서 살았다.

8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet,

그가 예수를 보았을 때, 그는 크게 부르짖으며 그의 발 앞에 엎드려서

shouting at the top of his voice, 큰 목소리로 외치기를 

 "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?

내게 무엇을 원하십니까? 가장 높으신 하나님의 아들, 예수여?

 I beg you, don't torture me!" 내가 간청하오니 나를 고문하지 마소서.

8:29 For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man. 

예수께서 악령이 그 사람에게서 나오도록 명령하셨다.

Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.

그는 여러 번 악령에게 사로잡혔고, 손발이 쇠사슬로 묶여 지키는 사람의 감시에도 불구하고, 쇠사슬을 끊고 귀신에게 쫓겨 외딴곳으로 도망치곤 했다.

8:30 Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" 예수께서 그에게 물으셨다."너의 이름이 무엇이냐?"

"Legion," he replied, because many demons had gone into him.

"군대입니다." 그가 대답했다. 왜냐하면 많은 귀신들이 그 사람 안으로 들어갔기 때문이다.
