Bible Reading - Luke 8:31~40

8:31 And they begged him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.

그것들은 그에게 무저갱으로 들어가라고 명령하지 말아 달라고 거듭 간청했다.

8:32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside.

언덕 위에서 많은 돼지 떼가 풀을 뜯고 있었다.

The demons begged Jesus to let them go into them, and he gave them permission.

그 귀신들은 예수께 그 돼지 떼 안으로 들어가도록 간청했고 그는 그들에게 허락하셨다.

8:33 When the demons came out of the man, 귀신들이 그 사람에게서 나왔을 때

they went into the pigs, 그들은 그 돼지들 안으로 들어갔고 

and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.

그 돼지 떼는 가파른 둑을 따라 호수로 뛰어들어 익사했다.

8:34 When those tending the pigs saw what had happened,

돼지들을 돌보고 있었던 자들이 일어난 일을 보았을 때

they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside,

그들은 도망쳐서 마을과 시골에 이 사실을 알렸다.

8:35 and the people went out to see what had happened. 

그리고 사람들이 무슨 일이 일어났는지 보려고 나갔다.

When they came to Jesus, 그들이 예수께 왔을 때

they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus' feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

그들은 귀신이 나간 사람이 예수님의 발치에 앉아 있는 것을 보았는데, 그는 옷도 입고 제정신이었다. 그래서 그들은 두려워했다.

8:36 Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured.

그것을 보았던 자들이 귀신들렸던 사람이 치료받은 것을 사람들에게 말했다.

8:37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, 

그때 거라사인 지방의 모든 사람들이 예수께 그들을 떠나달라고 요구했다.

because they were overcome with fear. 왜냐하면 그들은 두려움으로 압도되었기 때문이다.

So he got into the boat and left.그래서 그는 배를 타고 떠났다.

8:38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, 

악령이 쫓겨난 남자는 그와 함께 가겠다고 간청했다.

but Jesus sent him away, saying, 그러나 예수께서 그를 내어 보내시며 말씀하시기를 

8:39 "Return home and tell how much God has done for you."

"집으로 돌아가서 하나님께서 너에게 얼마나 큰 은혜를 베푸셨는지 이야기하라."

So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

그래서 그 남자는 가서 온 마을에 예수께서 자기에게 얼마나 큰 일을 하셨는지 이야기했다.

8:40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him.

예수께서 돌아오시니 많은 사람들이 그분을 환영하였다. 그들은 모두 그를 기다리고 있었다.
