Witnesses of Mark’s upper room(Acts 1:8)

  “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

  It has been prophesied in the Bible that the world will progressively become an age of disasters. Similar problems arose during the time of the Early Church. However, God poured the filling of the Holy Spirit upon the believers who gathered in the field of Mark’s upper room where the Early Church began. It was for the sake of sending these disciples to the world to save the age. Now, God has provided us with this very same power. This is because He has promised to make us into witnesses that can readily enjoy the authority of the Holy Spirit which overcomes disasters of any age. What kind of disciple is this?

1. Witness of Acts 2

  Acts 2 is the answer that God gave to the believers gathered in Mark’s upper room. We too can receive this answer if we simply pray for five minutes, asking, “God! Give me the covenant of Mount Calvary. Provide me with the answer of the kingdom of God that You granted upon the Mount of Olives. May You give me genuine strength.” If you pray this prayer, God’s time schedule, power, and the doors of answers will be given to you through the working of the Holy Spirit that is like the wind and fire that no one can block. If you continue this, you will be able to enjoy the blessing of being a witness.

2. Cultural witness(Acts 3:1~12)

  God raised the members of the Early Church to change the culture. The culture was changed through these individuals who appeared lacking. When Peter relayed the Christ he believed in to the crippled man sitting in front of the temple gates, the nation of Israel was in shock. Even in court, Peter proclaimed his confession of faith regarding Christ. We, too, can form an NGO, a welfare program, and culture that evangelizes through the power of God. Then, we can stand as witnesses like the Early Church and Peter.

3. Witness of healing

  We know about the evangelization of Africa that began through Deacon Philip(Acts 8:26~40). This clearly demonstrates the importance of one individual who possesses the Gospel. I, who possess the Gospel, have been called as a witness for this purpose. Therefore, we already possess the power to change the field that is currently being influenced by shamans and those that are demon-possessed. We must save Rome as well as the field plagued with idolatry, and stand before Caesar. We must begin the covenant journey that God will start through us.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Father God! Bless my life so that the final covenant that You have given can be fulfilled. May You begin the works of saving this age and the church.
