James 1:5 (New International Version)

 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Gracious Giver of every perfect gift, grant me wisdom from above this day. Let my ways be ordered according to Your will, and may my life bring glory to Your name—not only today, but all my days. Let Your Kingdom rule my heart as I make each decision, and let Your Spirit lead me in the paths of righteousness. I confess, Father, that apart from You I cannot direct my steps; I am wholly dependent on Your wisdom and the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Therefore, grant me wisdom this day. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
