9:42 Even while the boy was coming, 그 소년이 오는 동안에도

the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion.

그 귀신은 경련을 일으키며 그를 땅바닥에 내던졌다.

But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father

그러나 예수께서 그 악령을 꾸짖으시며 그 소년을 치료하셔서 그의 아버지에게 그를 돌려 주었다. 

9:43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.

그리고 그들은 모두 하나님의 위대하심에 놀랐다.

While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did,

모두가 예수께서 행하셨던 모든 것에 놀라고 있는 동안에 

he said to his disciples, 그는 그의 제자들에게 말하기를 

9:44 "Listen carefully to what I am about to tell you:

내가 지금부터 말할 내용을 잘 들어라.

The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men."

인자(그 사람의 그 아들)가 사람들의 손에 넘겨질(배반당할) 것이다.

9:45 But they did not understand what this meant.

그러나 그들은 이것이 의미하는 것을 이해하지 못했다.

It was hidden from them, 그것이 그들에게서 숨겨졌다.

so that they did not grasp(파악하다.붙잡다) it, 그들이 그것을 이해하지 못하게 하기 위해 

and they were afraid to ask him about it. 그리고 그들은 그것에 대해 그에게 묻기도 두려워했다.

9:46 An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest.

제자들 중에서 누가 가장 큰 자인지에 대해 논쟁이 시작되었다.

9:47 Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him.

그들의 생각을 아시고 예수께서 작은 아이를 취하여 그를 그의 곁에 서게했다.

9:48 Then he said to them,그때 그가 그들에게 말하기를 

 "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; 

누구든지 이 작은 아이를 내 이름으로 영접하는 자는 나를 영접하는 것이다. 

and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

그리고 나를 영접하는 자는 누구든지 나를 보내신 분을 영접하는 것이다. 

For he who is least among you all--he is the greatest."

너희 모두들 중에 가장 작은 그가 가장 큰 자이다.

9:49 "Master," said John, 주님, 요한이 말했다.

"we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him,

우리는 어떤 남자가 당신의 이름으로 귀신들을 쫓아내고 있는 것을 보고 그가 하지 못하게 했습니다. 

 because he is not one of us." 왜냐하면 그는 우리들 중에 있지 않았기 때문입니다.

9:50 "Do not stop him," Jesus said, "그를 하지 못하게 하지 말라."고 예수께서 말씀하셨다. 

"for whoever is not against you is for you."

너희를 대항하지 않는 자는 누구든지 너희를 위하는 자이니라.

9:51 As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, 

하늘로 올라갈 때가 그를 위해 도달했을 때에 

Jesus resolutely(단호하게) set out(출발하다) for Jerusalem.

예수께서 예루살렘을 향하여 단호하게 출발하셨다.

9:52 And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him;

그리고 그는 앞서 소식을 전하는 사람들을 보내어 사마리아 마을에 들어가 그를 위해 필요한 것들을 준비하게 하였다.

9:53 but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem.

그러나 거기 있는 사람들은 그가 예루살렘을 향하여 가고 있었기 때문에 그를 환영(영접)하지 않았다.
