Sonic Tapestries was Washington D.C.-based guitarist Michael Fath's third record as a national act, and included plenty of terrifying licks and leads. When released in 1990, Mark Mitchell at Guitar World magazine gave this CD an excellent review and it was featured as the selection of the month. This CD is one of Fath's personal favorites, as it again covers many styles of music while showcasing a maturation of his technique and composition. Sonic Tapestries features the brilliant "The Emerald Isle" and "Innocence Of Youth" as well as a fiery cover version of the Focus hit "Hocus Pocus" complete with bass solos and wickedly fast guitar work.
