# 牧牛堂主 一代記(목우당주 일대기)(54) The biography of Mokwoodangju

軍友(군우) 鄭 敬祚(정경조)와 함께

사관생도시절 나보다 교번이 1번 느린 軍友(군우)가 있었다.
나는 11,209번이었고 그는 11,210번으로 鄭 敬祚(정 경조)이다.
京畿道 燕川出身(경기도 연천출신)으로 壬辰生(임진생)이다.

三士官學校 時節(삼사관학교 시절)에 每 分期(매 분기)마다 體力測定(체력측정)이 있었는데
6가지 種目中(종목중)에서 2,000m 달리기가 있었고
훈육대생도 인원을 A, B그룹 절반으로 나누어 단체로 뛰게 하였다.
나는 B그룹에서 으례 일등을 하였다.

하루는 2,000m 出發線上(출발선상)에 서 있는데 옆에 있던 정 경조가 내게 말했다.
'오늘은 반드시 너 뒤만 따라가겠다'라 한다.
하여 '그래라' 하고 뛰었는데 10m나 따라 왔을까! 그 뒤로는 보이지 않았다.
운동으로는 내가 항상 앞섰다.
그런데 敎養學 學課(교양학 학과)에서는 그가 나를 앞섰다.

그는 몸으로 하는 步兵(보병)이 아닌 砲兵兵科(포병병과)로 支援(지원)하여
砲兵團長(포병단장)에 올랐다가 3성장군이 되어 동해안 軍團長(군단장)까지 승진하였고
陸軍 第 三司令部 副司令官(육군 제 3사령부 부사령관)에 올랐으니
삼사관학교의 우리 小隊(소대)는 물론 삼사관학교 동문에서도
거의 最頂上階級(최정상계급)에 올랐다.

나는 흔히 말하는 내 마음속 라이벌이 있었다.
고향의 국민학교 시절에는 趙 胄衍(조 주연)이었다.

같은 나이로 辛卯生(신묘생)이다.
그는 어머니가 日本 女子(일본 여자)이었고 공부를 잘했다.
초, 중, 고 시절 거의 1~2등의 성적을 올렸다.

忠南大 法大(충남대 법대)에 應試(응시)해서 合格通知書(합격 통지서)를 받았으나
候補群(후보군)에게 밀려 不合格處理(불합격처리)된 事件(사건)으로 하여
忠南大(충남대)와 是非(시비)를 다투어
결국 半(반)만 勝利(승리)하여 農科大(농과대)로 入學(입학)했고
뒤에 英文學科(영문학과)로 바꾸어 졸업하고서
仁川(인천)의 專文大 敎授(전문대 교수)로 出世(출세)한 친구이다.

중학교 2학년 시절 옆자리의 校友(교우)는
秀才(수재)인 兪 仁植(유 인식)으로 공부를 매우 잘했다.
역시 같은 나이이니 辛卯生(신묘생)이다.
全國 模擬考査(전국 모의고사)에도 90점 以上(이상)의 高得點 成積(고득점 성적)을 올렸다.
허니 當時 高麗大 總長(당시 고려대 총장)이던 兪 鎭五 博士(유 진오 박사)가
같은 성씨라 하여 支援(지원)해 주기도 하였다는 이야기를 들었다.

그를 두 번째 라이벌로 삼았다.
유 인식은 서울고등학교에 입학하여 서울법대에 들어갔다.
高等考試(고등고시)를 여러번 應試(응시)했다가 합격되지 못하자
銀行(은행)에 就職(취직)하여 銀行支店長(은행지점장)에 올랐다는 消息(소식)을 들었다.

세 번째 라이벌이 정 경조이다.
60대까지 軍 現職(군 현직)에 있다가 退職(퇴직)하여 이북 5도 평안남도 도지사이다.

고향의 집안에서는 朴 鍾旺(박 종왕)이 라이벌이었다.
그는 壬辰生(임진생)으로 육사에 들어갔고 나는 3사에 들어가게 되어
같은 시기에 少尉(소위)로 임관하여 같은 1사단에 配屬(배속) 되었었다.

陸士(육사)에서 國防部將軍賞(국방부장관상)을 받았으니 亦是 秀才(역시 수재)이다.
師團長(사단장)에 이르렀으나 轉役(전역)하여 民間人(민간인) 된지 오래이다.

7째 宗祖母(종조모)가 편찮았을 적에 病問安(병문안) 간 적이 있었는데
癸巳生 堂叔(계사생 당숙 : 박 종학)이 내게 하는 말이 기억난다.
종왕이처럼 軍(군)에서 별을 달고 나왔으면
한 달에 300여만원의 月 給與額(월 급여액)을 받고 편히 잘 살 수 있을 것이라 말한 것이다.
하여 나는 지금 300만원 정도의 월 수입으로는
현재 큰 살림인지라 살아가지 못한다 라 대답한 바 있다.

박 종왕의 선친은 神接(신접)하여 占術(점술)이 능했다.
地官(지관)노릇을 하기도 했다.

하루는 어떤 長年(장년)이 찾아와 집 나간 아내를 찾으러 다닌다 하였는데
대문에 들어서자 마자 들어 올것 없이 급히 바로 나가라며
ㅇㅇ에 가면 찾는 사람이 있을 것인데 늦으면 못 만나니
빨리 서둘러 가라 일러주었다는데 맞더라는 사연을 듣기도 하였다.

허나 祖父(조부)앞에서 아는 소리를 하면
조부께서 '쓸 데 없는 소릴 한다' 며 혼내시는 모습을 본적도 있다.
그 친척 할아버지는 나를 볼 때마다 한 말씀 하였는데 '공부 잘 하거라 나중에 참 좋다.' 라며
靈眼(영안)으로 나의 未來觀(미래관)의 말을 하였다.

어느날 하루는 선친에게
'네 아들 보다 우리 아들 종왕이가 더 잘 돼 !' 라며 큰 소리 치시더라는 것이다.
하여 선친이 답하기를 '그러시겠지요!
아저씨는 형편이 좋아 아들을 잘 가르쳐 좋을 것이고
저는 능력이 없어 제대로 못 가르칠 것이니
그렇게 되겠지요!' 라고 應對(응대)하자,
마음이 누구러진채로 조용히 다시 말씀하기를
'아니야 처음에는 우리 종왕이가 잘 되는 것 같지만
뒤에는 자네 아들이 더 잘 되네 !' 하시더라는 것이다.
나보다 한 살 적은데 국민학교를 늦게 들어가 2년 후배였다.

두 壬辰生(임진생) 라이벌은 軍 將星出身(군 장성출신)이 되고
두 辛卯生(신묘생)은 敎授(교수) 아니면 金融 街(금융가)의 銀行店長(은행점장)으로
비교적 민간직의 출세를 하였으니
先天(선천)은 一 三 五 七 九(일 삼 오 칠 구)에
甲 丙 戊 庚 壬(갑 병 무 경 임)과 子 寅 辰 午 申 戌(자 인 진 오 신 술) 등이
甲運(갑운)으로 陽數(양수)로써 더 强(강)하다.

乙(을)의 二 四 六 八(이 사 육 팔)이나 乙 丁 己 辛 癸(을 정 기 신 계)와
丑 卯 巳 未 酉 亥(축 묘 사 미 유 해)는 陰數(음수)이기에 后天運(후천운)에 맞다.
先天(선천)에는 別 數(별 수)없이 陽氣(양기)에 밀려난다.
그러나 大器晩成(대기만성)이라 하였다.

牧牛堂主(목우당주)는 아직 할 일이 無窮(무궁)하고
끝까지 必然(필연)코 해내고야 말 것이다.
結果(결과)는 뒤에 알게 될 것이다.

陽道世上(양도세상)이 陰道世上(음도세상)으로
正陰正陽 時代(정음정양 시대)가 돌아는 오는데
弱子(약자)로 늘 눌려 살던 陰氣(음기)의 乙(을)이 解寃(해원) 되는 것이다.

0형은 선천시대에 맞고 A형은 후천시대에 잘 맞는다.
선천은 動中靜(동중정)의 시대이고 후천은 靜中動(정중동)의 시대이기에
靜(정)의 乙(을)인 陰(음)이 動(동)으로써 바르게 작용되기 때문이다.
