He spoke to members of the history and origin of 7.1 Jeol and 7.8 Jeol. Pastor also gave a relating to his personal experiences with the Buddhist religion. He, being a first generation, has told that he grew up in an environment where the Confucianism culture was engraved into the society. Without being personally taught the Confucius teachings, our pastor has already learned the customs and morals through his daily life. After telling us his story, Rev. Doo told our church members that that’s how we should carry out our religion: creating a tradition and custom that tie into our daily lives. The reasoning for his statement was because throughout history, some religions were lost; however, the religions with strong traditions were kept. Thus, proposing to create a large society that can influence our culture to willing people for the future generations.
meaning of this event. As he has stated, this purpose of celebrating this day is to not only be remembered of how 7.1& 7.8 Jeol was originated but how we should cultivate our religion to our culture in order to expand and to prosper our religion.
